Hello guys, I'm looking to take my passion in cars more seriously and planning to pursue formal education on this. Despark auto academy has this High Performance Car Re-Engineering Course that kind of interests me but I would like to hear some feedback from anyone who is actually studying it. What do you all think of it?

There's also this Diploma in Motorsport offered by TOC but so far all I know is also only brochure stuffs.

As I am working overseas now I can't really approach them and can only correspond with them by e-mail so any opinion is appreciated

Ladies n gents ..

Just wanna find out of anyone here have been through this experience that I am having now.. I work as an IT consultant for a firm and I have been quite new to the field and have worked hard to learn the stuffs that are needed for my job. After 1.5 years in the company I have just gotten a promotion, a good increment, recognition, 2 awards. However, I really don't know why I don't feel excited or happy about it. Does anyone feel this way at a point in their working life?

Hi guys, not sure if this should go into Handphones n Comm or here, anyway I need to acquire two IP phones, they have to support SIP or IAX protocol .. either one of them will be good enough. Any idea where can I find IP phones in Msia?

Trace Bundy tab request

Hi all, first of all, i just got hold of a Yamaha FG720S .. FANTASTIC piece of thing for the money. woo hoo !~

I'm a big fan of acoustic music esp Trace Bundy and would really love to be able to one day play a couple of his songs .. started off with my fav Patanga last night. Managed to find a tab here (Patanga)so far but it's incomplete, anybody else follows his music and happen to have his tabs?

Bringing guitar on flight

Hi all, am currently in the UAE for work and gonna be stuck here for sometime, been always wanting to get a guitar and planning to get one here but not sure if I'm able to carry it on the flight when I come home, any experience?

If no choice then I guess I have to DHL or UPS it back home separately when i finally go back to Msia...

How to check SNR if I'm using a wireless router

guys .. got one question wanna ask here .. I am using D-Link 520T modem and Netgear WGR614 wireless router.. before having the router I can access the D-Link modem's web and check the SNR there, but once setting it to bridge mode and using the Netgear as my router, how can I access the D-link page to check SNR without having to remove the router ?

and one more thing, I'm experiencing frequent ADSL blink (a.k.a. DSLAM out of sync, according to some threads here), is this related to poor SNR as well ? or the SNR is just affecting speed slow or fast?

Turbo fin

hi guys .. another thing need some opinions here ..

Fren is offering me a turbine but without actuator, seems like it's a last batch S14 / S15 ball bearing turbo, the exhaust side looks fine but the compressor side looks like this ..

There was no shaft play noticed but I'm not sure about the slightly bent fins co's even my stock T25 doesn't have bent fins like that .. Any opinions?

Engine bearing

Found myself in kind of a road block here ..

I have in possession an SR20DET redtop from 180SX halfcut and planning to rebuild it. Original plan was to replace the head gasket with a Tomei one which is pretty much certain now ..

The engine is to be used in drifting but no plans in the future for any head modification so will be keeping to the stock rev range. Final target on a 2-year plan is 320bhp on crank.

The my mech say since opening up the engine liao, he recommends that I change the engine bearing as well co's the engine has done about 100ks (according to the console that the halfcut came with) and SRs are known to have bearing problems which according to him is due to the short conrod (can't figure this part out).

Anyway, I found a set of engine bearing for SR20 brand NDC and the thrust washer is made by ACL. But words around me suggested that I skip this normal brand and go for King brand .. and even a full set of ACL bearings will not be good enough ..

problem is .. this NDC I got is RM 130 and the King brand is RM 4xx oledi spent a lot on the Tomei gasket and still need to source for my other parts like adjustables and all .. sigh

it's a big price difference .. anyone has experience on any of these brands or any input regarding engine bearing?
