[WTA] Windows 7 and Playstation Bluetooth Headset

Well first of all, I haven't a clue exactly where this goes so mods, if you got a better idea where this should be, feel free to move it.

Anyway, I recently purchased a Playstation Bluetooth Headset and it has already been paired with the PS3. But my question isn't about the PS3, but more of the headset. See, I also bought a bluetooth dongle because I've read some articles stating that the Playstation Headset is able to double up as a PC bluetooth mic. So I tried hookin' everything up but so far, no dice.

If anyone around here has successfully paired their Playstation headset or similar to their computer, please do tell me how.

I stress that I have already bought a bluetooth dongle, and so far I've tried the internal Windows 7 drivers which didn't work as well as Bluesoleil, which also did not work. So yea, help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

[WTA] Monitor choices

Well I'm generally looking for input and suggestions for this more than anything. So lemme starts.

I'm a 2D artist currently working professionally in the games field so that would mean colour accuracy means alot to me when work is concerned. So currently I'm looking for a 23.5" - 24" LCD or LED monitor. Currently I've only found the 2 Acer ones for LED. One being the S243HL and the GD235HZ so I was wondering if there are any monitors out there that's possibly as good or better than these 2.

In point form;
Reso: 23.5" ~ 24" (1920x1080)
Type: LED or LCD
Inputs: 1x DVi and 1x HDMi (at least)

Notes: Good colour accuracy and compatibility with PS3

Thanks in advance.

What are my choices for a speaker set (2.1 & 5.1)

As the title states, what be my choices for a PC speaker set at a budget of RM700~800.

Would be nice to list down a 5.1 AND a 2.1 speaker. But either one works as well.

Usages will be alot of everything, music, movies, games and occasional recordings.

[WTA] z-2300 vs z-5300

I have intentions of getting one of these speakers and as the title says, comparing both speakers in terms of Sound Quality and Price. Which would be a better purchase? I listen to music, watch movies (extra clear ones sometimes), do some music recordings and games (ranging from RPG right down to FPS)

I understand the fact that z-2300 is a 2.1 speaker system whereas z-5300 is 5.1 but putting that aside, what matters more to me is the Sound Quality (Bass clarity, Satellite sound clarity, how much distortion if any) as well as Price Worth. So yeah, looking forward to some input.

PS: I'd like to know the current prices that are sold for both mentioned items if anyone knows. thanks.

[WTA] Mac compatible PC Hardwares

I know for a fact that one might debate that purchasing a mac is better than building a PC that supports Mac software, and normally, I would definitely agree but I'mma gonna ask eitherways.

Is there a list or anyone around on this forum that has any form of experience in building a Mac OS X compatible PC? Would like to ask about that hardware choices or what I should look in PC hardware should I consider shopping for parts.

HD280 Burn in

Recently got myself a HD280 Pro headphone. Pretty happy with how it plays so far.

But I want to ask, a friend told me that it's best to burn it in by playing the genre of songs that you want the headphones to sound better with. Is that true? WOuld it make any difference if I were to burn it in with a wide array of trax?

[WTA] Sennheiser Headdies

Got an intention to get me a pair of good headphones that would be at least able to last me for a good while, so a buddy recommended me Sennheiser.

I try not to go over RM400 if at all possible for the headsets, so yeah.

So on my list is HD215, HD205 and HD515. Now don't get ahead of me with the HD515, I am aware that it's a little off my budget, but I intend that as a last resort if the previous two is somehow unavailable.

But ANYWAY, my questions is, which of these 3 would be good, and is there even a difference between the 3, besides, design, size and price?

Finally, if not Sennheiser headsets, would there be another brand that could possibly be better than Sennheiser? Answers would be most appreciatted.

Cheers.
[WTA] Gaming Keyboard

Looking out for a gaming keyboard with multimedia features as well. What I have on my mind is these, so which would be a better buy? In terms of performance, ease-of-use and probably durability (as in little parts in the keyboard wouldn't start snapping) and finally, value.

Logitech G15
Microsoft Reclusa
Microsoft Sidewinder X6
Razer Lycosa

[WTA] Effects of scanner/x-ray on PC hardwares

Say if I wanted to migrate somewhere like the States or UK. But I want to bring my whole computer with me (minus the extra stuff like monitor and the likes) and it goes through a scanner @ the customs. Will the hardware in the case be affected in any possible way? Like a possible nuclear meltdown or something like that?

[WTA] About Some CPU related Stuff

I recently purchased a Rampage 700 GC along with a GB Odin Pro 800w with a Lian Li case. The GC's plugged into an Asus P5N32-E SLi mobo (Not the best mobo out there, but hey I was using a nVidia card previously). Also running on 4GB RAMs and yeah, that's roughly it for PC Specs, and for the problem;

My PC keeps turning off itself everytime when I play certain games on Fullscreen (Left 4 Dead, Gears of War, Red Alert 3, Farcry 2, Assassin's Creed etc. etc.) And by turning off, I don't mean a normal shutdown, but total power off, like someone flipped the power switch to off.

I've already downloaded the latest ATi drivers, and even made sure that my in-case temp was acceptable. But that didn't seem to fix the problem. So I did a little checking around, apparently, for the most part, it seems to be the PSU that seems to be giving me the problems, where it is just simply not chugging out enough Amps to run the softwares I want to use.

But to be sure, I made a call to the place I got the hardwares, and they told me that it's most likely the mobo driver problem, as they told me that some mobos from Asus has some pretty severe problems concerning RAM and Memory. I don't really see how any of that is related to my problem, but yeah. Please enlighten me.

[WTA] Case

At the moment, I'm using a CM Centurion 5 Case.

From what I know, overall air circulation isn't all that fantastic, so I had to take off the side panel to give it a somewhat decent cool air intake. (I'm also aware that increases the chance of foreign objects entering like bugs, dust, lizards and so on)

However, I'm pretty much getting a new GPu with a new PSu, and the computer techie there told me that Centurion 5 ain't cut out to what it's supposed to be and recommended me a Lian Li PC-007FA, with a big-assed 25cm Fan on the side. (I think it's not the best thing out there, but I've got some budget restrictions)

Which do you guys think is better?

Possible Rig Update

Hi, going straight to the point. I'd like to ask about what processor and possibly a good mobo to go with it that I should get.

My budget's about RM2000 give or take and I intend to purchase the ATi HD4870 1GB card, that's about 1k gone right there.

So, I'm not too good with processors or mobos but I'm lookin' for something that works well with games and possibly work as well, mainly 3D related stuff.
So yeah, anything good that I could possibly get in RM1000~1200?

Atm I'm using a 8800 GTS which seems to be throwing a coupl'a tantrums, an E6600 intel proc sitting on an Asus P5N-E SLi w/ 680i chipset.

So yeah, thoughts?
