Writing on doc using Polaris (Note 10.1) gone hayw

Hi, i am currently writing my thesis and i've got back my draft from my lecturer, in which she edited using her Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (using Polaris Office). She uses the S-pen to write on top of the document.

The problem is, when I open the file in MS Word, the writing on the document went haywire. Her writing (corrections) on the document all ran out of its alignment. For example:

intended edit:

"It is rain heavily now and it is very cold!"

When open in MS word

"It is rain heavily now and it is very cold!"

*take the underline as the edit.

All the other writing, circles, etc by my lecturer went out of its intended place.

Any idea how to overcome this? Can i convert it to some other file like pdf or etc??

Continental CC5 or CPC2

Hi ppl, wanna ask some questions regarding tyres.
My Gen2 is a 1.3 unit, thus the original tyres size is 185/55/R15. (the 1.6 Gen2 uses 195/55/R15)

So, it is time to change now (tyres already 5-6 yrs). The tyre shop recommended 195/55/R15, which is pricier than the 185/55/R15. About RM15-20 more per tyre.

Anyway, the tyres he recommended were Continental ComfortContact5 or ContiPremiumContact2.

Which is better? Same price.

I need some advise on which size and which tyre model i should take. Thanks!

UPS suitability

Hi, i am staying in a campus, and i find that my laptop seems to be lagging during certain times. It seems fine during long weekends (like now) when a lot of ppl are not in the campus. but it will start to lag if it is during the peak hours (non-sleeping time, typically 9am-12midnight)

i suspect it is due to the unstable voltage from the wall socket.

Therefore, i was thinking of getting an AVR or UPS, but i prefer the later, as my laptop battery is has since lost its purpose

I came across this Sensonic 650VA UPS which comes with a built-in AVR.

I am wondering, is 650VA enough for my laptop + speakers + printer? I am a bit confused about this volt-ampere (VA) unit.

On my laptop adaptor, it says:
INPUT : 100-240V~, 2A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT : +15V === 5.0A

so, the question remains, how do i calculate weather the 650VA is adequate or not?

hope to get some answers here!
Thanks in advance!

Hello...nowadays, in order to become rich, working hard is not enough..investment is the way forward..however, if you want to strike rich without much capital, i think buying lottery tickets is one of the way (even though the probability of striking one is very low)...

Just imagine if you strike the jackpot, which is currently RM23million

Anyway, enough of the introduction..my main question is, have you guys tried to buy a large number of pieces of the big sweep tickets before?? like 100 pcs or maybe 500pcs at one go??

if so, will i get a discount if i buy 100pcs at one go??as an example, instead of RM300 for 100pcs, maybe i can get them at RM270 (10% discount ). is this possible??

and if u guys practice this every month, how much do you guys normally can get back from the "GORES" part??

thanks!!

Hi,

I am driving a Proton Gen 2 1.3 (A), and my stock tyre size is 185/55 R15. When i wanted to change my tyre, the tyre shop boss told me that it is better to change it to 195/50 R15 tyres. I am very well aware that the size falls within the 3% rule.

However, I would like to know which tyre size is better for my car, i.e. for driving, gripping, handling, fuel consumption and what not..

I hope u guys can give me some advise.

Thanks!!!

P/S: Since it is 1.3 model, it comes with a steel wheel (15inches), but i've changed it to the original Gen 2 sport rims (15 inches).

Proton and Perodua tie up?

if u guys did read 11th April 2009 The Star newspaper,(click to view the article) business section, there's an article about the posibilities of the two companies, Proton and Perodua joining forces..

From wat i read, Proton dun mind it, but Perodua seems doubtful about the deal..

From my point of view, Proton needs tie-up, or at least joint venture with other company, but not perodua..if both of them do, they will monopoly the already quite saturated market (not tat they have not monopolised the market, jz to avoid it getting worst)

as we all know, Perodua is under Daihatsu and Daihatsu is under Toyota..so, its quite natural for Perodua not to agree on this issue..but Proton is now a lone ranger, together with its child, Lotus..and if proton want to stay tat way (and be the national pride)..then Proton is heading for a 90degree up hill task..cost the Proton brand is not tat popular, and they have not really penetrated into the international market..until they do so, they cannot afford to be producing cars themselves..even giants like toyota also making loss, how do u think proton will survive??so wat proton really need is a JV with other manufacturer, produce a car together, then sell them using their respective brands into different market..

wat do u guys think?
