Changing of Engine Chasis number

There is this car under my name, but owned by my ex-husband. Recently I found out he has lost the registration card, and the worse part is he changed the engine few years back and never update the changes of chasis number via JPJ into the registration card. The workshop is out of business as of now, he doesn't even know the owner, so finding the workshop operator is impossible. The only thing now left is the old engine, not even a receipt.

How to go about in updating with JPJ? Any help is much appreciated.

Streamyx blame me for losing termination forum?

In June 2012, received call from CTIC Corporation Sdn Bhd, acting on behalf of Telekom Malaysia Behad, informing me of a debt from back in 2006.

After few emails to Help@tm.net.my, they insisted that I subscribed to their service on 20th March 2006 and terminated on 27th June 2007, and refused to check further, I turned to SKMM for help in July 2012, but it seems to me that SKMM will forward my emails to Telekom and ask Telekom to liaise direct with me, and that is not working at all.

Because although I explained to Telekom I subscribed the self installation package but was not given the log in & password to access their broadband service, and was terminated within 1 or 2 months upon consulting their customer service at 100, they just refused to admit it's their fault & close the case.

Below are a few questions I asked: -

1) How did they accrued the bill to 14 months?

No answer at first, after pressing few times, the customer service that called me over the phone told me that no doubt they never receive any payment from me, but also, they saw no activity as ever been recorded in my said account. After 14 months, they 'decided' to terminate the account on my behalf.

2) Why no bill has ever been received back in 2006?

No answer.

3) After they 'decided' to terminate the account on my behalf, why was I never informed of the existence of said account, I.E. asking for payment, back in 2007?

No answer.

4) Why no reminder/notice on payment received back in 2006?

No answer.

5) Why the telephony service, which this Streamyx account was supposed to attach to, worked just fine without interruption?

No answer.

6) Why was I not told (of this account) when said telephony service was being terminated 2 years ago?

No answer.

One thing for sure is she admitted they cant locate my termination form although I told her which outlet I terminated & surrendered the modem, and although she agrees that losing the termination form is not my fault, yet, upon consulting with her 'boss', there's nothing much she can do UNLESS I can show them the termination forum from my end. It's 6 years ago thing, who will go keep that ONE PIECE of paper? I did not.

Again, I turned to SKMM for help, and again, they replied with same template - [We have highlighted your concern to Telekom Malaysia for their attention and further action.] of which I don't think will do any good from past conversations with Telekom, they acted in a way that losing the termination forum is totally my fault & I have to pay as a punishment.

Any advice for next of course?

DNS problem?

I'm using Maxis wired broadband. Since last week, I'm unable to surf certain web pages which I used to visit with a 'DNS' error message, have reported it to Maxis, but still the problelm persist. Has this got to do with my modem/router's settings?

Note: Did not change any setting at all, I just switched on my computer one day, & I have 'DNS' problems.

E.g. of website that can't be browsed: http://maple.playpark.net/, and, of course, the game client is affected.

Internship?

I do find it a bit absurd about this internship program in Malaysia, the students have no right in saying 'no' to any company the university has assigned them to, they are not allowed to ask about pay or even allowance, they are to work according to what the company told them to, they are not protected by law or even insurance, they are not entitled to medical leave(s), overtime pay & so forth. A conclusion from myself: They are just a bunch of cheap, if not free, unprotected labour of Malaysia.

I've been searching through the net but I can't find anything related to the laws on internship program's students, not even labour law.

My daughter started her intership program in May 2009, she was asked to attend an interview in the midst of her classes, so she literally had to 'ponteng' her class back in Kampar, came back all the way to KL for the interview in April 2009. As instructed by the Dean, she's not allowed to ask about salary & stuff, the only instruction she received was, she's supposed to listen & obey to whatever the company will or had assigned her to do, she should be grateful for the company's willingness to take her, therefore, no question or complain should be forwarded no matter what.

She got her 'appointment letter' few days before her internship, telling her she'll get an allowance of RM450 nett per month & she's required to start earlier instead of 1st June 2009. She has been working long hours, IE from 8am-6+, sometimes 7pm everyday, even on Saturdays. She's required to do ALL the jobs including those of washing of cups & plates in addition to her main training, IE telemarketing, data entries, filing, printing, photocopying, road shows, training classes, E.T.C. She was even requested to drive & buy food for a vegetarian participant on her own account which ended up she got lost on the highway due to a mislead map given by the restaurant and another student was being summoned to collect the food by a taxi paid by my daughter.

Her 'allowance' was being deducted for a one day medical leave, despite a proper medical leave certificate was being submitted. I can understand if no EPF contribution being done, but not even SOCSO? No transportation, food or whatsoever allowance is given on occassions which they are required to serve at road shows, exhibitions, training grounds, places away from the office premise, and whenever the forgetful 'manager' should have walked in before 6pm remembering something should be done (which happened almost everyday), they are to finish the task before going home (She travels to & from work by LRT, I have to standby & wait for her call to pick her up everyday).

I wanted to have a word with this company, but my daughter response was: "Noooo, this internship cost me a total of 40 marks, whether I'll get an A or not really depends on their report!", I guess that is why students would rather keep their mouths shut & endure those few months' suffers?
