[B]Calling all Sabahans, bruneians, sarawakians,

after collecting too much Hi Fi gear over the years I am putting half of it up for sale. I have it all at me residence In Kota Kinabalu and can be viewed tested and appreciated at my place.
knowing that prices are expensive because of the lack of hi fi stores I have tried to keep all my prices reasonable for the everyday guy and girl that cant afford the overly exhorbitant prices of the shop thats starts with ak in KK

Nad C515bee-cd player- 6 months old and upgraded with Jantzen foil caps- super sound=RM800

Nad C350 60wattpc integrated amp- upgraded with solen mkp foil output caps- superior sounding amp- looks ok =RM800 110v but comes with 240v/220v transformer also.

nad 2400 100 watt power amp, upgraded with discrete opamp and solen foil caps and gold input rca, upgraded speaker jacks. RM1000

Nad 1985 model vintage pre amp and 50 watt amplifier,, upgraded power caps and output caps in foil. pre-1020a=RM600 2150 amp =600

Denon avr 3803 110watts 7 channels nice sounding HT amp upscales astro tv to component =RM1400

onkyo dv-sp300-dvd player upgrade with european poly metal film ouput caps and all new rubycons, nichicons in power stage=RM500 great picture and cd playback.

Denon avr1000 75 watts p/c really nice 1994 year amp better for 2 channel music but can hook up tv through it and dvd=RM500

Denon avr 2807.HDMI upscale of analogue pictures 110watss p/c 7 channels. very nice machine well looked after.home theatre at its best. great for music as well=RM2000

and lastly my two favourites.
Pioneer dv-969avig dvd, cd and super audio player-upgraded with Jantzen metal film caps- stunning player hdmi out for DVD upscaling features=RM1000

Pioneer dv-989avis-top of the line and still one of the best dvd players on the planet, upgraded even more with Jantzen metal film caps, russian pio caps and a burson discrete Op amp in the ouput stage, turns this already excellent player into a stageering player. music, super audio cd, dvd all amazing

pioneer dvd mechanisms

Hi all you hifi kaki's !

i am in need of securing a supplier for a dvd mechanism for a Pioneer dv969avi which went Kaput on Sunday.

I am sure I can get the parts here in Langkawi through the local pioneer service dealer but they "Charge like a wounded bull" ! (aussie expression)

and i wanted to get some idea on the model number of the mechanism before i take it to them.

i just wanted to make sure they dont rip me off as i am a foreigner in this country.

I would appreciate your assistance if anybody has knowledge of this particular dvd drive mechanism..
