Hey all,

Worked abit for the past few years and managed to save up for a property and foresee a huge change in life in the coming months or years.

Have been looking through and even trying out the Rumah Selangorku program but to no avail; they basically take forever or it's gone before it reaches my name.

So I've turn to the internet again for more choices but comes with more dilemma

My checklist is quite simple,

-Condominium with facilities like swimming pool, gym , etc.
-Nearby commercial area; eateries, hardware shops and such
-Not congested area, atleast for the first few years?
-First time homebuyer programme, if available
-Nearby *walkable* LRT station is a good addition

Would be awesome if you can give me some pointers

Usage :
3d modelling and animation , Unreal-engine specific working environment (real-time), some 3d rendering at times and some time-off gaming

Important parts :
atleast i7
nvidia 10 series
16GB ram ( upgradable would be great!)

Budget:
4.5k to 5k

Brands :
Between Illegear or MSI, but i'm still open for suggestion

PC freezes when playing games

Hey peeps,

Been having this problem for past few weeks. PC just freezes when I game; sometimes can go on hours without one and sometimes as the game finish loading.

*Though i notice most of the time it happens is when i bring up a new UI; a map, a change of location/environment.

Casually using my PC, browsing the web, watching videos locally or streaming won't trigger it.

Rendering with Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max even Unreal Engine does not trigger it.

EDIT: Mouse and keyboard freezes. no longer taking inputs from user.

System Specs;
Mother board : asus p8z77-v lx
RAM : Kingston 1600 8GB x 2
GPU : GTX 760
CPU : I7
PSU : 600w

What have i done?
Updated drivers - Nvidia ; made sure that i did not install the HD audio driver as i heard that's part of the issue

Updated BIOS

Lowered the graphical fidelity of the game; helps a little(?) at times

Played around with voltage to RAM and CPU < - still exploring this one, might just underclock my CPU to see does it trigger a freeze

What have I not done?

Change RAM positions on motherboard.

Underclocking either CPU or GPU

Reinstall OS ( only for my VERY LAST resort )

Change mother board?

Any help are greatly appreciated.

Hey peeps of lowyat forums,

I have just finished registering for the above said Rumah Selangorku and the status is currently "BERJAYA DIDAFTARKAN"

So what's next for me? Do I just sit back and wait? Do i need to prepare anything?

I've read over their FAQ page but nothing points to this (atleast from my understanding).

Would appreciate if anyone who has successfully gotten their placement to chime in on this

First off my system specs;

CPU : i7- 3770 CPU @ 3.40Ghz
MOBO : Asustek P8Z77-V
RAM : 8GB
OS : Win 7 64-bit
GFX Card : Nvidia Geforece GTX 760 4GB

What I'm looking at now is more "real-time" rendering as I'm starting to work with Unreal alot. Though on the sides I still do alot of 3D renderings and animation as well.

What I'm having in mind now is that to upgrade my RAM as i think that's what's lacking.

What's the lowyat's community's sage advice is for this situation?

Hey people,

I'm from an art and design background. Am planning to bring what i'm doing to a next level for a long time now but seemed to be going nowhere.

I have no experience in doing or setting up a business which is the main blockade of my pre-venture. I have plans and what not already written down, sort of, at least the start, how i want to do it and the end goal of it.

The type that i'm planning to look into now is that I'll be looking at clients and getting projects while also having a team with me as a support to finish the project. How should I start with this?

As the title says, my current card Radeon HD 6500 got fried from lifetime use. So decided to jump ship over to Nvidia to try out their cards.

Problem is this is my first time upgrading ONLY the gfx card.

Whats the difference between 750 and 750i? and the confusion didnt end there, there are over dozens of brands!

Am looking at something thats able to future proof for about another 3 - 4 years at a budget between RM 400 - RM 550
