Currently im driving myvi '08 (M). Last week when i had a talk to one of the agent in proton showroom, she offered rm31000 for my myvi.

Im in dilemma whether to get a saga flx cvt or persona manual.

I feel that rm31k is very good value for the myvi. Next year sure drop another 2 to 3k.

Problem is my budget is just rm 40K. IF im getting a saga flx, i would like to get the m-line.

The b-line seems very empty and main reason i dont like the b-line is because the unpainted side mirror and no electric windows.

The m-line cost rm45k. My father suggest me to add another rm1k and get the persona which is much bigger and have higher cc. If i get persona, i can only get the b-line manual.

Any suggestion from you guys ?

Budget Gaming PC for rm500

Proof of purchase shown when buying mobile phone

First of all, im sorry if i made this post in a wrong section.

I want to give a suggestion. My suggestion is when any members want to sell electronic items, they must show the proof of purchase.

Especially the sale of mobile phone in LYN, nowadays i notice that a lot of members selling either mobile phone only or mobile phone with charger only.

This mobile phone could be a stolen unit. Of course there are members that sell their mobile phone together with some of the accessories but it could be a stolen unit too.

So, a proof of purchase such as receipt or warranty card must be shown when they are selling any electronic item.

Headlight & aircond problem

Hey guys, my car now got two problem since last week.

1. My cars left hand side headlamp and right hand side foglamp is not working.
Is this simply because of burned bulbs or got fuse burned ?
I just want to make sure that no fuse burned before replacing the bulbs.
The thing is both lights not working at the same time.

If the fuse burned, how to change it ?
or
If the bulbs burned, i should buy H4 bulb for the headlamp and H8 bulb for the foglamp right ?
My car is myvi 1.3 year 2008 (not SE).

2. The aircond is not cold anymore as usual. Some of my friend said need to change drier, compresser oil and need to
add gas which cost about rm200+. While there is some who told me that adding gas is enough.

I tried to google about it, then i found someone mentioned that a car's aircond gas need not to be added unless the
cooling coil or somewhere is leaking.

So, which is true ?

Newly bought sim card not activated

Hi guys, yesterday i bought a hotlink simcard and registered. The shop fellow said the number will be activated within 30 minutes.

So, i waited for almost one hour but still not activated. Then today i call to Maxis customer service, they said my number is not registered to JPN yet.

They asked me to go and ask the shop where i bought the card.

When, i went to the shop and ask, that fellow damn lansi.

He said i didn't buy the number from his shop and doesn't want to help me.

That is the same fellow whom i bought the number.

The shop doesn't issue a receipt, so i cant do anything.

So, what are the available option for me to activate the number ?

Please help

THE BIGGEST ENGINE IN THE WORLD

The worlds biggest engine however is the Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C. It is a turbo charged two stroke diesel engine and it is the most powerful and efficient low revolution engine in the world today.The construction of this engine completed in September 2006 and fully mounted on the $170 Million Emma Maersk.

The Wartsila-Sulzer is manufactured by the Aioi Works in Japan and is part of Japans Diesel United Ltd engine manufacturers.

Let’s see some figures here! It’s the size of a house, being 89 feet long and 44 feet wide or when you look at the Wärtsilä-Sulzer RTA96 engine, it’s as if you are looking at a block of apartments. It doesn’t have a V configuration of the cylinders, nor the most modern W one used in the latest supercars; it’s a “mere” inline 12 cylinder engine.

The crankshaft of worlds biggest engine the crank shaft translates reciprocating linear piston motion into rotation. Compare its size with the size of the man.

The “slight” difference is that the diameter of each cylinder is 3 feet 2 inches (1 meter) with a stroke of 8 feet 2 inches (2.5 meters).

This engine is so heavy that it would have been wiser to build the ship around it. It weighs 2000 metric tons and requires the most powerful cranes to lift it and mount it on the ships.

The power output is huge, with a peak of 90,000 hp, at 100 rpm. No, it’s not a typo, the engine is the most powerful and efficient low revolution engine in the world, because working at about 20 times slower than a normal 2.0 litre car engine is a major contributor to the life of the engine, which is crucial when the ship is in the middle of the ocean carrying 100,000 tons of oil.

Moving at such a slow speed is not relevant regarding the power output, but it is in terms of fuel consumption. The 14 cylinder engine for example, with a displacement of 25,480 liters (1.56 million cubic inches) burns up only 1,660 gallons of crude oil every hour, which is in fact an extraordinary fuel economy for such a monster.

This economy, plus the fact that it runs on crude oil instead of refined diesel, makes it very cost-efficient, too, since a consumption of 1,660 gallons per hour, which equals 39.5 barrels of crude oil per hour at a price of $62/barrel gives the small operating price of $2450 per hour, really small when talking about a ship that carries a cargo worth several million dollars.

Here’s another interesting fact: the crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons, at a length that makes the human workers around it look really small.

Building a PC

Hi guys, my friend wants to build a pc for gaming + photoshop.

His budget is is RM700 to RM1000.

I dont know what to suggest to him since he wants all high spec stuff but doesnt want to increase budget

So, he already have monitor and 4GB ram ddr2.

The things he needs to buy is :

1) Processor (wants Core 2 Quad)

2) Compatible motherboard

3) GPU (for gaming such as crysis, NFS shift and Sniper Ghost warrior)

4) PSU (he wants branded )

5) casing

Please suggest on what to recommend for him and if possible the expected price of the item too

There are these three guys in a desert dying of dehydration. Off in the horizon they see a house and finally manage to struggle to it. The first guy goes up to the door to ask for water. The door is opened by this really old, wart-covered, puss covered, scaly, toothless old woman.

"C-c-c-can I h-h-h-have some w-w-w-water for me and m-my friends?" he asks.

She replied, "I will... if you have sex with me."

The guy pukes all over the woman and runs back to his friends.

"You guys would not believe who answered the door. Some really gross old lady!" he tells them. "She said we could have water if I had sex with her."

"Why didn't you then?" asks he second guy.

"Oh, you are such a wuss. I'll go up to the door," the second guy says.

BSOD frequently

Hi guys, my laptop is displaying the BSOD frequently and sometimes it cannot shutdown.

I had tried to leave the laptop for hours and it couldnt shutdown. This only occurs sometimes.

I have tried googling but did not get the solution.

I have attached the all the necessary files here in a zip file. Please help me to solve this issue.

ddr2 vs ddr3

I do know that ddr2 and ddr3 are totally different. but does that apply for So-DIMM ram ?

Im a bit confused on this. i wanted to upgrade my laptop's ram, so i have run a software named "EVEREST Ultimate".

From that software, it stated that my laptop supports 2gb DDR3 SDRAM 1066Mhz per slot. It also states that Maximum amount of RAM supported is 8gb.

Currently its running on DDR2 800Mhz.

So, can anyone clarify this matter ?

Separate the bandwidth for two pc's

Hi, guys. The situation is like this, im using a 2.0Mbps streamyx broadband. Im sharing this connection with my housemate.

The problem is he always uses the connection for downloading stuff 24/7.

and i dont get to utilise the broadband at all because the connection will be slower for me.

So, i wanted to know is there any method to separate the connection between us. Means 1Mbps for me and another 1Mbps for him ?

Please help me guys

Of the 11 security bulletins that will be released in a few hours, Bulletin 7 will address one or more vulnerabilities in Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

But Microsoft will also offer the same update to users running Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, even though the company maintained last week that they were impervious to attack.

"Windows 7 users will be offered Bulletin 7 as a defense-in-depth update even though the [advanced notification] states that the issue does not affect Windows 7," said Jerry Bryant, a group manager with the Microsoft Security Response Center, in one of several e-mails replying to questions. "This means that the vulnerable code is in the software, but due to the improved protections built into Windows 7, there are no known vectors to reach it."

In other words, the vulnerability is there -- in Vista, Windows 7 and Server 2008 -- but Microsoft doesn't know how it could be exploited.

Better safe than sorry, security experts said.

"Absolutely, it's a good practice to fix these bugs," said Andrew Storms, director of security operations at nCircle Network Security. "Just a year ago, DEP [data execution prevention] and ASLR [address space layout randomization] were mitigating nearly every vulnerability for Internet Explorer on Vista. Yet we are seeing a steady rise in more researchers' finding and taking advantage of DEP bypass methods. And if DEP bypass continues to happen more often, then we'll be happy that Microsoft issued these fixes."

Wolfgang Kandek, chief technology officer at security risk and compliance management provider Qualys, not only agreed, but cited DEP and ASLR circumventions as well. "Installing the update for Windows 7, Server 2008 and Vista is definitely a recommended, and preemptive, action," he said. "We have seen cases in the past where attackers were able to string together multiple vulnerabilities to reach their goal, most recently at CanSecWest, where Peter Vreugdenhil used two bypasses to first get by ASLR, then DEP when he exploited IE8."

For his exploit expertise, Vreugdenhil, a Dutch freelance researcher, last month won $10,000 during the Pwn2Own hacking contest. His one-two punch was called "particularly impressive" by the contest organizer because it sidestepped DEP and ASLR, two cornerstones of Vista's and Windows 7's security.
