in the long run, which one is worth buying and/or keeping?

one thing of my concern is that whether Intel is going to keep using the new socket?
CUBEMAP using openGL

Hey, i am new in this graphics programming.

i using openGL libraries rite now. the GL.h, GLu.h, glut.h, glext.h...

rite now i am trying to use the GL_TEXTURE_CUBE_MAP extension...

so...
here are the problems that i am stuck with...

1. is there any reliable image loader (preferrably for .bmp images)

2. what is the process between image loading and actually using the image as texture

3. i cannot apply the extension GL_TEXTURE_CUBE_MAP_NEGATIVE_X and its 5 other friends properly in the program.

Fyi, i can do a makeshift cubemap using GL_TEXTURE_2D, but porting it to be useable with GL_TEXTURE CUBE_MAP is really hard.

Thanks for answering. snippets of code would be really helpful

[addedon]February 12, 2009, 9:18 am[/addedon]huhu, no one can help ah?

PSU requirement

Hi, i am thinking of buying a gtx 285 soon.

i have read many reviews, and most of it stated that a single card system can be successfully stable with a PSU that is 550W or above (real power of course).

SO, i would like to know wether my CM 650 Real Power Pro is sufficient to power gtx 285.

thanks for answering.
