Landlord not returning security deposit

I have a problem here renting a condo house in Vista Millenium. The landlord was an Indian guy. When i signed the tenancy contract, i paid 2 months of security deposit and utility depo worth of 1 month rental. I had taken care of the house, and any house prob i made sure that i fixed it properly. I paid all the bills properly too.

I left the house after 1 year, fulfilling the contract fully. I returned the key to the landlord but he said will return the depo to me within the following week. I trusted him, but he didnt refund back my depo the following week.

He made few promises of returning my depo back but it was all empty promises. It has been over a month since i passed the key back to him, and i have yet to get back my depo. I believe the landlord was just outright scammer. What can i do in case like this? Can i make a police report towards him for breaching the tenancy agreement by not refunding back my deposit?

Maximum speed on the cutting lane in highway

Someone please enlighten me on something that been bothering me for quite some time

Say if a highway imposed a maximum limit speed of 90kmph, does that mean that
1. All lanes on that highway have the same maximum speed of 90kmph?
2. Or if say the highway has 3 lanes on each side, only the left and middle lane has maximum speed of 90kmph, while cutting lane can exceed more?
3. If (2) is true, then what is the maximum speed of the cutting lane then?

I'm asking this because i received a traffic fine for exceeding speed limit, (speeding at 109kmph, and the max speed of the highway as specified in the fine is 105kmph, which makes me assume 105kmph is the max speed for the cutting lane, since i know that highway has a maximum speed of 90kmph).

I was sure on the date specified in the fine, i drove in the cutting lane all the time, and i noticed at one time a traffic officer was 'hiding' with its speedtrap camera, which i assumed was where i got my traffic fine from. But then at that time i was on the cutting lane (and obviously driving at overspeed as specified by the fine).

I was under the impression that since its the cutting lane, so it is fine to exceed the speed because, i want to cut other cars in the middle lane that were driving at speed of 90kmph. But i was wrong here apparently (well of coz i knew it, but still... )

So can someone enlighten me on how to calculate/assert the maximum speed allowed for a highway, especially for the cutting lane?

Regarding parking in LRT Kelana Jaya

Do i need to come early to get the parking at LRT Kelana Jaya? Will the car park goes full in the morning?

Seems like a hassle after reading old topics that stating about the need to reach the parking area before 7am or else it will be full.

So my friend told me that he got an offer from a small company (PJ based from what i get), to work in other area. He got offer which is 2k higher than his previous salary which was around 4k+. But the catch here is that, the contract that he was given, which sounds pretty risky to me.

- Super flexi works
- 14 AL 12 MC
- No annual or company bonus
- No benefits or allowance
- Increment is based on kpi
- No epf, no socso, no tax. All these have to do on ownself
- All given is just net package

My concern here is on the no epf socso and tax.

Any expert here can tell me if this offer is worth taking?

EDIT:
- To add, he previously worked in an MNC company before, so he did get all those medical, insurance, and many other benefits.
- The work scope for the new company is more to .net programming, not sure if need to do end to end, but shouldn't be an issue here
- The work place he got assigned to is about 1hr+ driving from his house. And definitely need to pump $ for petrol and toll.

Team games around Selangor area

Hi

I wanna ask if there are any places around Selangor, preferably around town area/shopping mall, that has a good places/shop/arena where people can play in groups?

Places like laser tag in Sunway Pyramid (group vs group game), or Escape Room in The Curve (solving riddles as group) or the Paintball in the Summit USJ, i'm looking for these kind of places, where people can play as groups and have fun together. I'm talking about large group of people here, possibly around 30 ppl. So i think game like go-kart, or those that can be only played individually, or dangerous games (like archery) is out of the list (i think).

Preferred is indoor type games, because lately the air quality has been dropping.

So i need help here, need suggestion on games that ppl can play as groups.

Saya x tau pun sapa penyanyi pompuan yang nyanyikan lagu tu, saya cuma suka lagu tu jer... sebab merdu dan buat saya terkenang panjang..

About drag and drop feature in HTML5

Ok so my problem is like this

I have a form, consisting of several inputs, and a drag and drop to input file. The structure is more or less similar to something like below

So my target is, to have all the input within the form tag, including the files from drag and drop, to be sent to the server altogether.

But the problem is that, drag and drop doesn't have any input tag, unlike its cousin the normal browse file input method, which has an input tag of <input type=file>. This mean that, to send the file from drag and drop, need to define the XHR in javascript so that the file can be send as a form data to the backend on the server side. But this also means that, the file and the form data are sent separately (if what i think is right).

I want to know if there is a way to make drag and drop behaves like normal browse file input? Because i want to send the file from drag and drop together with other form data, not send separately. But from what i read in HTML5 FileReader API, this just seem not possible to be done.

So to any HTML5 developer out there, is there a way to resolve this?

From Klang to Cyberjaya

Currently i'm using SKVE to travel to CJ for internship.. from Klang to Teluk Panglima Garang, and enter SKVE from there to Cyberjaya, which took around 50-55 minutes, and the toll costs me rm3.70 per trip.

But is there better alternative route to go to CJ from Klang?

Current possible route would be
- Klang using Kesas to the junction near Hicom, and use Puchong route to go to CJ --> total toll around rm5.20 per trip
- Klang using Kesas, and enter the exit to PLUS highway, and all away till reaching PJ/CJ exit. --> total toll around rm5.50 per trip

Puchong route seems nearer, but the jam and so on really gets the hype down...

And i'm not sure about using Dengkil route.. probably better because there's no toll (using the Klang -> Banting road), but then the distance may be greater which is a burden on the gas cost, and the semi-grubbling road which will ruin my car in no time @@:;

Anyone been to interview for job/intern at HP Cyberjaya before?

Would like to know what kind of test will be given there?

Got a call from HP, and they wanna enlist me into their interview next week for software development. According to my friends, the interview isn't going to be just an interview.. going to have test and so on @@.. i'm not really sure.

Thats why im seeking for tips or experience about interview from experienced ppl in here that had been to interview with gigantic software/programming company such as HP.. if you can possibly give any tips or idea about how the interview would probably look like.

I know most of them don't make one... they sure outsourced from some shop that will help them build for a $$$.

Cannot connect to server on machine

Been doing this for whole days, a simple login system on Android, using http as many ppl recommend to me.

Currently stuck at the connectivity part to the machine. Here's my php code that handles the connectivity from the device (not emulator) to the machine

Been checking the codes again and again, and Eclipse doesn't show any error nor warning, so it should be fine on the surface.

I've read many replies about Android connectivity to the server machine using real device and not emulator. I list out what i could remember from those replies that i read for the past 2-3 days
1) If using emulator, then the URL should be 127.0.0.1/myphppath
2) If using device, then the URL should be 10.0.2.2/myphppath
3) If the URL doesnt work, then try 127.0.0.1:portno/myphppath or 10.0.2.2:portno/myphppath
4) If neither of the above works, then use machine ip (192.168.x.x) instead (the ipv4 address which can be obtained from cmd by using ipconfig command)
5) If cannot connect, then try firewall exception on the port that MYSQL uses
6) If still cannot then try to disable firewall and AV

So far done all the 6 steps above, and neither works. The logcat on Eclipse shows Exception : Connection <<URL>> refused message on every URL that i had tried. All those URLs were those that many successful programmers, as well as Android page endorsed to connect successfully to the server machine from android device.

My laptop and android devices run on a wireless network (home network on a wireless router), and both have the wi-fi option on. My laptop (where the MYSQL is at) has PhpMyAdmin installed for this purpose, and i don't think the problem resides on the phpmyadmin. I tried the URL on the browser, and seems fine to me (i had a simple hello world php coding to have the browser show what i have written in the coding, and it did show in the browser using the same URL).

I'm not sure what else that i haven't tested... the project target is Android 4.0.3, and my device is running on Android 4.0.4, and i don't think that is a problem, coz ppl recommended that for Android 4.0.4, use Android 4.0.3 as target on Eclipse.

Lastly, i couldn't test the code on emulator, coz the emulator is crazily slow and load like hell, and says error, and UI have to stop or something along that line. I can only test the code on real device, which is my tablet (cheap tablet running Android 4.0.4). I used USB cable to connect the device to the laptop for debugging purposes. I have internet permission on the manifest, and i have carefully followed many replies from many forums, but nothing works for me.

So i hope pro coding can shed a light on me regarding this? Kinda confused and dunno what else should i do to solve this.

Android connectivity to MYSQL

I see that MySQL workbench has a feature to setup a server database, similar to phpmyadmin (i think). So i wanna ask, issit possible to connect android to mysql server DB with API?

I see alot android examples that utilizes API connectivity to PHP MySQL, but i don't want to build another DB using phpmyadmin. I want to set up one using MySQL workbench and then set it on my android so that it would connect to the server DB that i setup. Issit possible?

Editing database data from JAVA interface

So far i've got the code to get the interface to show database table in jTable.. and got the idea on how to add data from interface into the database.

But problem is how to edit the database from interface. My idea of editing is
- Highlight the row that you want to edit
- Then press edit button, will come out mini editing window, with each jTextbox showing the data from the row that you highlighted.
- Then just replace each of the data, and save it to the database.

Been trying to work on this, but everytime its a sad case.

Anyone can help me on this?

The event will be held in O2 arena, commonly known in UK as the Dome. Funny is, the event organizer aimed to gather around 1000 ppl to attend the event.

Kinda new to this stuff, so i still dunno where to start about this, especially C.

I'm doing Mobile Asset Tracker using RFID as my FYP, and i'm currently trying to find out about RFID stuffs. Wireless distance and request time out

Are there any relation between wireless distances and how frequent request time out will come out?

I think i'm somewhere around 10 meters from my wireless router Aztech DSL1000EW(L), and in between those 10 meters are 3-4 concrete walls, each about 30cm thickness.

I think i'm a Streamyx 2mbps user (2047 downstream rate), staying at Likas - Kota Kinabalu, but my current line is very poor now, having frequent request time out in like every several seconds, and i scared this is due to my current position from the wireless router, affecting the performance of my line. Even my line at best is 80% strength only (4/5 bars) and sometimes can dropped till 60% (3/5 bars).

Thats why i wanna know if the distances from modem affects how much request time out i would get. If it is, i can plan to move somewhere nearer at least to the router, or change the position of the router to somewhere closer. Couldn't afford to buy W-extender or whatever tools to create more access points now.
