Cannot connect to web via wireless router port

Router: D-LINK DSL-2640B
Firewall used: windows default

Problem details
First occurence of problem: this is the first time, i bring back my pc from uni to my home
Problem frequency: very frequently
Problem description:

Please... i can't connect to internet . I connect my pc to D-LINK DSL-2640B by using rj45 cable into the port .

I tried using port 1 ,2 ,3 and 4. But neither one of them works and all my effort is fruitless. Btw, i'm using XP.

I rebooted, disconnect the cable, connect ,reset the router, and still, no positive result.

XP says i'm connected to internet gateway. My internet adapter also is connected but locally

Any help would be great!

Monitor lcd 15"display problem zebra stripes

that is the current condition whenever i turn on the monitor. it is manufactured by TopSync

i have absolutely no idea on how to deal with this kind of problem. Already take the back cover of, and check for any busted caps on the display controller circuit and power supply , but weirdly, found none of them defected and they look good..

help me..

Any helpful ideas and thoughts shared will be such a great blessing
