Russia now banned citizen fr china, hk and Macau forbided to enter Rusia (expect Taiwan). meaning inditectly Russia also reject china recognised Taiwan part of China.

Tax treatment of ESOS (oversea shares)

Need to ask for Opinion.

I work in a multi-national Company and Holding Company located in EU.

in 2018, Malaysian staff was given a ESOS (Share of holding Company listed in EU) on the following Conditions.

Eligible staff is allow to invest RM10,000 (Assume) and Holding company will match 2500 worth of share in Holding Company (to convert into EURO currency). The Conditions is that these share can only be sold after three yrs from date of investment. the share will be managed by EquatePlus

In my 2018 EA form, HR had included RM2,500 as part of the salary under ESOS

My question is, for 2018 tax submission,
a) Do i need to report the RM2,500 in my tax return for 2018 tax submission? If yes, Why (remark, i only can sold the share in year 2021)
b) Annually, the holding company will declared dividend, the equivalent amount will be converted into Hold company share. how should i reported this in subsequent yrs?
c) Only after 3 yrs, i can sold off these share, then the money will be transfer back (convert to EURO to RM). will i be tax again?

i believe the above cannot be treated as Normal ESOS where compare the offer and exercise price.
