Is there any specialist shop in Low Yat or nearby area that do repairs on laptop battery?

My Dell Inspiron 1420 battery suddenly just died on me few weeks after the 1-year warranty ran out (Google revealed this "scam" is happening to most Dell customers). A new battery replacement from Dell cost RM450, which is way too much.

A very tech-savvy friend reckoned that an electronic part in the battery called "deep switch" might have been damaged and only that part need to be changed, thus replacing the entire battery may not be necessary.
