Screen blackout when pluging the external monitor

My laptop screen and the external monitor screen will blackout once i plug in the external monitor to the laptop thru VGA.
no problem at all for vista previously.
Do you all face the same issue?

need help here...i duno y my pc keep on restarting ... when it reached window bootup screen, then it restart the pc again automatically ..
sometimes can reach to window desktop but it will restart again ..
