New formula for fuel prices next week -

BATU KURAU: A new formula to fix fuel prices will be announced next week, said Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

He said the move was to ensure stability in the domestic oil industry.

He added that the ministry would be holding a meeting with oil industry players next week to discuss the formula.

"The people must sympathise with petrol station operators who suffer losses when oil prices drop. They (petrol station operators) feel they are the victims (when prices drop)," he told reporters after attending a Ramadan function here Friday.

He added that he would be asking the Government to assist petrol station operators as they had been badly affected by the uncertainty in oil prices.

The retail prices of petrol and diesel have been on a downward trend lately.

Since April 1, the retail prices of RON95, RON 97 and diesel are set on a weekly basis.

EPF account I - which fund house to park it in?

hi there,

I have been looking at my epf account I and have not exercise the option of investing it yet.

I am confused with all the different terminologies being used as much as I have researched on this topic.

The options seem to be:-

1) PRS - RM 3,000 - is this through EPF or can it be done externally i.e. by meeting up with one of the appointed fund houses and just annually invest RM3000?

2) % of EPF 1 amount is to be parked in different fund houses until 55 years old.
Any recommendations on which fund house?

3) or connect EPF with a fund manager such as FSM - is this different from no. 2? as the normal managed portfolio has a high 10k investment.

Plan is for retirement but also to have some in EPF1 to help for future house loan. and should i then do a separate investment to prepare for the 10% down payment for a house?

Can anyone enlighten and help me out please? I admit i am terrible noob at this >.<

Hi I would like to know what type of RAM (SDRAM, DDR, DDR2) that this Mother board: Abit AS8 / AS8-V (Intel i865-ICH5) can utilize?
I have already tried using CPUZ to check but it does not give me much info and even tried googling the motherboard itself to check for specs but can't seem to find it either. If anyone that has this motherboard or has knowledge about it cld you let me know the RAM type that it accepts? Just need to upgrade the RAM..thanks so very much in advance!! ^^

hi there, i have a friend from Malaysia whose going to visit some corporate friends (10-15ppl) in australia. hi... i want to ask if anyone knows of a good place to bring small children - ages 4 to 12? preferably a place where they can explore, educational would be a big plus and can have a picnic somewhere near by..I took them to national science center last year and wondering where i should take them this year...Budget would be around RM3-RM10 per child i suppose. thought of Bukit Cahaya in Shah Alam - just some nature thingy..hmmm ny ideas?

iTunes account for downloading apps

Hi i wanted to purchase an ipod touch due to all the useful apps and general usability but when i tried to register for itunes account to download the apps i come a screen requesting a credit card..erm... what if i don't have a credit card and i'm happy with the free apps? especially since 2nd Gen Ipod touch has not been jailbroken yet? any advice?

Hi i would like to set up a wireless network in my home using TmStreamyx using the D-Link 542 wireless router..but i could not get it to work. How should we set up the WAN connection? static DNS? dynamic DNS? DCHP? ...please do help..at my wits end...>< and do i need to remove Tmnet streamyx dialer before using D-link router or is there a way round it? could not find an uninstaller for Tmnet streamyx. thanks lots!!!

Hi guys! i'm looking to purchase a new laptop with at least 2gb ram and 250GB HD with a good video card price range around RM3K-RM4K especially since i need to run PS CS3 on it. I saw some sony models and liked the CS series but i also saw some ASUS models...Is ASUS any good? any hanging issues or hardware problems, after sales problems with ASUS? your information would be most welcome and if there are any other laptops to consider please do let me know. thanks everyone!!
