Retainer fee as IT Support

Hi everyone,

I need help in knowing the retainer fee for IT Support based on market rate (so i wouldn't damage market price).

Background of the story is, I quit my old retail company to set up my own IT company.

However my boss still needs me to support on the IT parts since I'm the General Manager that does all IT procurement before this and also my background is IT related, thus all IT work fall under me alone, no other staff.

Now i have quit, they still need me to support them as retainer.

Below is some of the details for my background.

1. Scopes of services: I will be the one be their website admin to update any content to their website. I also will be the IT support for any software/hardware issues at their office. I will also be the one manage their Google workspace and all the software i have procure during my tenure there.

2. Expected time commitment: I estimated to allocate 5 hours weekly.

3. Value propositions: I'm the General & IT Manager of the company previously and all the software procurement was done by me. My expertise is in website design, website development, software integrations, google workspace, project management software (clickup,notion,trello, jira) and also find the best software to enhance company operation efficiencies. I also always respond less than 2 minutes for any technical enquiry during my tenure at the company and fix it between 10~30 minutes based on how complicated it is.

4. Market rates: this is the part i'm unable to find any market rates from IT consultants in Kuala Lumpur. Need your help on this so i didn't cut the market price.

My salary before i quit was 5.5k as GM and i in charge with 3~4 departments (My Core: IT, Design. Sub: Operation, HR, Marketing)

My boss said he wanted to pay me maybe 500~1000 monthly. I find it very low

So i wanted to justify the suitable rate based on the industry market price.

House/building telco signal weak solution?

Hi guys,

Do you guys ever face a situation inside some house or building with a very low mobile signal that end up with calling issue? (Like in a lift, but this applies in the whole room/building)

Since Kopitiam people are pro people, I'm hoping for anyone have ever managed to solve this issue? (like using any booster or something)

Due to my work require lots of calling, this really make me stress up abit

1. Back Pedic (Backcare Pro) - soft
2. Sealy (Kaleen Model) - medium

But from Reddit, i heard many user for Sealy for the top memory foam degrade after 6 month hmm

While BackPedic is harvey norman own brand, so cannot found any review

Wifi didn't reach room

Hi guys,

This year i purchase TP-Link AX50, and it's fine at my old house.

Then last month i moved to new condo, almost similar size sqft, but the signal hardly received at my room (thick wall?) and my room is the furthest from router.

If use 5ghz better abit than 2.4ghz that totally no internet. But both usually randomly disconnected, haih. Except my pc using WIFI 6 Adapter, it's blazing fast.

However my phone, mibox, and etc doesn't have WIFI 6 adapter, so need other router as solution.

QUESTION PART

If i were to upgrade to RT-AX82U or RT-AX86U, would it be much better at penetrating walls?

I just paid a deposit for a house at Tropicana garden, but still have 7 days to cancel out.

Want to ask is it a good time or bad time to buy a property for letting people to rent? (And might be own stay someday, but just 1 room).

Having a treatment at chiropractor every once in two weeks.

Since I'm a designer, my work long hour at table is unavoidable

I just bought a Lumia 1520 at shah alam central at Nokia retailer for rm 1999

right after I come home, I managed to charge for 3 hour, and only got 77% that stands for 9 hour only.

since I got flight at 8, I hv to unplug it.
