Compiling .cs File to .ascx

Hi all.

I haven't touch .Net related stuff until recently and have been facing a challenge to convert .cs to .ascx file. Basically here's the background info:

There's a slight modification required in a User Control file. Once I have successfully located the flaw in the .cs file and modified it, my understanding would be to compile it to a .ascx file in order for the changes to apply.

My question is:
1) Do i just have to compile the file affected or do I still need to compile the whole project?
2) If my compilation understanding is wrong, please point out the right direction for me. Thanks!

I just feel the need to bring this to everyone's attention. Mod, please relocate this thread if it is in the wrong section.

Back in Oct 2009, I purchased a Dunlopillo latex mattress from Decor-Point in Kota Damansara and the salesman over there was very good. He advised that latex mattress should be supported by a flat board (instead of typical 'fish-bone' board) underneath to prevent the mattress from changing its shape over time. So I also purchased the bedframe from the same shop and we have agreed on a specific delivery date & time.

On the date of installation, delivery was late and installation was performed by a bunch of workers who were careless and my parque flooring was badly scratched. Installation of the bed was also poorly done as the bed frame was not assembled accordingly (side-plank was not straight, etc). So I called up the lady boss to complain and she promised to come over to fix the problem. At 10:30pm, she came along with the salesman and helped to fix the poorly fixed side-planks. At the sametime, they promised to send over the flat-board to replace the 'fish-bone' board (usage of non-flatboard which will void the warranty of the Dunlopillo latex mattresses).

My nightmare begun after that. The side-planks would not retain in its original position and after 3 weeks without any call from the shop, I decided to call the store up and complain. They said that they will deliver again and I specifically mentioned to deliver only on a Saturday morning. The b****y lady boss actually has the gut to tell me that they can't deliver at that time and say that she'll try the following week. Immediately after that she just hangs up. How f#$king rude is that?? This went on for a couple more weeks before I got into really peak period and was unable to handle this matter until recently when I have quit my job. Up-to-date, I still get the same treatment from the same shitty lady boss just today and the honest salesman who tried to help me with the matter was fired/transferred.

I would need advise from all forumers on what should my next course of action to be? I've tried to get some info on the distributor of Dunlopillo but just couldn't find any online. Wish I could complain to them and revoke their dealership.

To other forumers, just be careful if you really have to trade with them and please share if you have grouses from other dealers in Home Furnishing.

HTML Table on A4

I have a letter structured page with a table in between to show some statistics. I have also included a diagram depicting the current layout that i can produce using html while the other is the intended layout.

Does anyone know how I can stretch the table vertically so that the letter would fit at least an A4 paper, without stretching the rows inside the table as well? (portrait mode)

Dear gurus,

Please help me out here. Here's the scenario:

User selects an option from a HTML drop-down box. On change, the function findMe() triggers and attempts to retrieve a record from the database via PHP (AJAX method).

When the response is complete, can AJAX handle a database record with multiple fields from PHP? Or should I convert the record into a string with a specific delimiter? If so, how should I do it?

Once the javascript receives the record, it would display in specific form input the values in each field of the record.

Hope you guys can understand the scenario and assist me. Thank you.

I have a problem as my users are adding text-based entries into my table and records are created without the text fields. After discussion with my users, the reason I find is due to the usage of characters such as "'", """ (without the "").

Can anyone teach me how to effectively weed out such problem in PHP? and should the control be placed in the classes or the GUI file (PHP file that output the user interface/HTML)?

XP VPN to Samba Domain

- Domain is behind a firewall

Backup Shell Scripting

It is my attempt to create a bash script which would perform the following:
- Backup selected directories
- Burn on to a CD-RW
- Check the completeness of the backup CD
- Create a backup log simultaneously

I've googled (yet to test) the backup scripts available and noted that none of it produces a backup log which is critical for audit purposes.

Samba Question

I have a samba shared folder entitled Documents.
The access rights for this folder is rwx for the Users group.
However, when a user attempted to open a word file in the Documents folder, it was opened as Read-Only. Could anyone share your xp in this and how to solve it? I tried chmodding the rights but the results are still the same...

I'm wondering theoretically, is it possible to setup a linux box to become a dns server and at the same time a dhcp server?

Apart from that, does anyone know how to configure binds so that it knows how to direct outgoing traffic to external network and direct traffics to internal networks?

Hopefully some of you can share your xp.

I'm wondering is it my router setting or is it the fact that these low-end routers are not designed to be responsive to 3 or more heavy internet traffic users?

Here's my scenario:
2 PC (wired), 3 Laptops (wireless) are connected to this router of mine. Imagine all of them are connected to the Internet except for one pc. Every's happy with speed and response time. Then come the baddy pc, using BT. The traffic slows down so badly that all laptops would not get any response at all (IE - Page could not load) and my PC would even not able to connect to the router through default address 192.168.1.1

Is there any fix to this problem? Eg, better firmware? Or any suggestions?

Moving Item Between List boxes

Although this is commonly taught online, I still can't seem to process the items in the 2nd list box if it remained as a normal element. <select name=list>

However, I can process the items of the 2nd list box if the list box is declared as an array (Eg: <select name="list[]">)
Doing this though will paralyze the javascript function which I use to move items between the two list boxes.

Anyone out there can shed some light to ensure that I can move items and process the final items in the 2nd list?
