Hi, am looking to engage a QS. Asked around for some quotes but saw one with a odd Registration No.

What does MF stand for in the Registration no?

as in 2016/MF0"XXXX"

I know
2016/CQSXXX is Consultant QS
2016/PQS is Profesional QS
2016/FS-FM-FP is Consulting QS Practice

but never seen a MF before. What is that?

Shopee refund

Bought something from Shopee but came incomplete. Seller trying to resend but they say need order no. So gimme a link to purchase something rm0 but can’t buy cause no shipping option. So they can’t send replacement without order no.
Shopee auto release payment 3 days after delivery. Last time I tried refund need both sides to agree. If they low ball me what option I have? Can I reject? But if Shopee already release they payment then they can ignore me. Anyone tried to get refund?

If display price wrong who bear the difference.

Went to buy laptop. Display price is rm4699 but went to pay they said rm5299. Should the shop honour the display price. Price displayed for a week already.

Ringtone wont sync all

Hi guys, made a few ringtones and they work. Only problem is it doesnt sync all to the phone. I have 8 ringtones. When I select 'sync all' it only appears 4 ringtones. Then I manually select them, only 1,3,5,6,7 only appears. If I deselect 7, then 2,3,6,8 appears. If I deselect another ringtone, it will add some and remove some. Any idea why?

I am using ITunes 11.0.3

AV room remote problem

Hi guys,

Designing an AV system in a bedroom (Huge bedroom 28' x 16' ) AV area 18' x 16'. TV on the 16' wall.

There is a partition cabinet at the rear dividing the room. Due to high WAF design requirements, all the equipments are at the partition opposite the TV.

Set up is

Marantz AVR SR7005
Marantz UD5005
Astro
Satelitte reciever (Dunno what brand)
Maybe Media player

Question is, if I put all the equipments behind the sofa, how to use the remote? A little awkward to be pointing the remote over your shoulder to change channels or volume...

What would be the best solution? Any IR to RF converter? Bluetooth?

(Previously wanted to do an AV rack/side table beside the sofa, but that would mean I need cables to cross the floor from the partition to the side table )

P.S. Will probably need a universal remote too. Please recommend.

Lighting Control System

Just helping out a friend. He has about 4 groups of 6 x 3 gangs light swithes in his living and dining area(connecting space) That makes 72 switches in one space.
Dunno if it was the designer's fault or the electrician fault but that is a LOT of switches in one space. Wiring all done but not yet install the switches.

Anyone knows of any lighting control system/home automation system that works and have after sales support? It needs to be connected at the switch area and not to the light fitting itself.

(if not then he can play guess the switch everyday )

How to get rid of ANTS?

Having some problem with ants in the house. They are everywhere. Little red ones. Sometimes hard to see cause they are very light in colour. Do anyone know any way to get rid of them? Tried some ants powder and spraying them but they just seem to start again somewhere else.

Dont cook on weekdays so food around. Left the house for two weeks with no food at all they still around.

Anyone have any method of getting rid of them?

Speakers & Stuff

I am running out of space on my av cabinet and with my new HUGE center speaker taking up more than half the cabinet, now I a left to put my DVD player and media player on it.

Is it ok to put stuff on your speakers? Especially electrical stuff?

Thinking of getting new Paradigm floor standers, but my place (rented) is fairly small and this is the only place I can put the speakers.

Question is, if the sun actually reach the speakers, how bad is it for the speakers?

Looking to upgrade my 40" LCD to a 50"++ Plasma. 40" now looks damn small on the wall...

Pls recommend me something so that I know what to look for when I go shopping for it. Too many brands and models out there and most of the salesperson talk rubbish...

Just want to narrow down my search. Not sure of my budget yet. If possible please state the price range.

Looking for a software that allows me to make announcement/notice through LAN.

Dont want to use IM as not to promote the use of chat software in the office. Just want something that allows me to issue instructions to the staff and it will beep/highlight or something when I send it.

Is there anything like that? Not familiar with this....

Just got an ERROR 800010514 on my PS3 Slim.

Only when I try to play SSF4? Other games and bu ray seems to be working ok.

Tried the SYSTEM FILE RESTORE but still error. Anyone had this problem before?

Can too much Amp damage PC fan?

Using my old scanner DC adaptor to power my 120mm Xigmatek 12V fan.

The OUTPUT is 12V 1.25A

if I connect direct to the fan will it damage the fan?

(P.S. Not using the fan in the PC)

Component cable

I want to connect a projector to astro byond. HDMI cable too expensive so thinking of using component video/cable to pull the video instead. As far as I know the component cable is only 3 cables R G B... but now the installer here say that i need another cable to connect(the yellow RCA). dont really understand what he is saying but the question i have is:

If I connect only the 3 component cables (3 RCA) from my astro decoder to my projector, will i get image?
