Hi guys, I've been holding off getting a notebook for gaming. However since my PSU for my gaming Pc just went Kapoop, I'm thinking it's time I seriously consider looking to jump on the gaming notebook bandwagon

What I'm expecting :

1. Minimum 15.3 inch screen
2. Able to play online games like world of warships, world of tanks. (I'm into RPGs too like Witcher 3, rise of the tomb raider but I prefer to play those on my Pc, thinking of getting a new PSU and GC, currently having 980gtx)
3. 1080p screen with good and rich color
4. Also using for Autocad and Adobe programs
5. Budget not more than 4000 (less is better of course)

Building New Gaming Rig!

Hi Sifus,

I'm planning to get a new gaming rig and would like some advice on some parts esp the cpu + MB combo. I do plan to do some overclocking in the future in order to squeeze more performance but not so hardcore. Current games i'm playing are World of Tanks, Tomb Raider, future BF4 , obviously i would like to play in MAX settings.

1. CPU = i5 4670k, RM735
2. Motherboard = MSI Z87 G65 Gaming, RM599 3xPCIe is kinda overkill for me (or recommend other MB than can OC easily for noob like me, maybe Asrock H87)
3. GC = MSI 7950 3GB Twin Forza OC, RM990 (will plan to crossfire in the future)
4. RAM = 8gb Apacer 1600 Ram, RM175
5. Custom CPU Fan = est. RM150 or less, pls recommend
6. Monitor = 22" Dell (old), will upgrade to 24-27" in the future
7. PSU = Gigabyte 720W (old)

Other parts i will get from my old PC.

Total = RM2649

However i would like to budget to around RM2k - RM2.5k. That's the sweet spot.

I'm already using unifi vip5 for about 2 months already and currently using internet through wifi dongle for my pc.

problem is for a few days already i can't detect my unifi wifi through my htc desire. my phone can detect other signals but not mine. what gives?

Hiya sifus,

I'm having a problem with my pc. When pressed the power button, pc started then went to BSOD. Restarted by itself but blank screen...don't think its psu cos all fans and keyboardand mouse light is on. But got beeping sound.

Wondering whether its my m/b or hdd problem? Recently had to reset pc often cos game I was playing always hang. I remembered there was a dram problem.

Hope u guys can help me out.
