Bad AV Retail Outlet In Penang/Prai/BM

Gus, I'm not sure if I should start a link like that but I'm kind of new here / hardly here
but I would like to share my bad experience with a retail outlet in Chai Leng Park for all
potential buyer's sake.

Retail Outlet : AVE Sales & Service
Owner : Jacky Goh

Problems:

I bought a whole complete 7.1 system, with projector and screen and sub from him.
Total damage RM18000.00 The setup was based on his recommendations so I'm
using Warfadale 9.1 as my surround and he claimed that the speakers came with ready screw holes
for wall mounting. He also supplied the brackets.

When the actual installation happened, he "pretended" he forgot which speaker I bought
which in fact its stated in the invoice when I paid him. He brought only 2 surround speakers
while I paid for 4. A day before delivery I went to the shop to remind him of my order and
told him to check against the invoice as not to miss anything. He also did not bring my brackets!

So he arranged another day to bring the right speaker and the right brackets but this time he sends
his son to install. The errors are bad and a real cheat!!

1. Brackets do NOT fit / match the screw hole on the speakers. They retro fit it with only using half of the bracket!
The installation was flimsy and weak!

2. Speaker height was NOT aligned! The height of the right surround and left are not the same.

3. Brackets are weak! The speaker tilts down until its corner hit the wall. It is unable to hold it in position well.

I ended up replacing all the 4 brackets and reinstalling it my self as I have no confidence in their ability.

In the process, he also "deliberately" forgot to bring my HDMI cable which came with the Pioneer DVD
player I bought. After forgetting, I suggested to use his "high-end" Audio Quest HDMI cable. Of course I have
to pay for it if I agreed - which I did not and insisted he use the free cable from the DVD.

While I placed my order with him, I also recommended a friend who needs his Onkyo repaired. The amp was handed
to him in Jannuary and I collected it from AVE around end of March. Paid RM170 for the repairs. Alias! When my friend
plugged it back in his system, it was sstill the same!! Nothing was done! Already mad, he called him and send it back
and till today its still not resolved. Its been a whole 5 months.

I hope by sharing this with you all, no one will have to suffer their lies and cheats.

good luck!
