Celcom number being cloned/spoofed

Hi,

May I ask, which authority do i need to report to if Celcom ignored me when i reported to them about my number being cloned/spoofed to conduct scam?

Based on my observations during the past 2-3 weeks, whenever my credit expired, I’ll get a lot of missed calls from the scam victims telling me they’ve paid me for Coway payments of RM150. When my credit is reactivated, I didnt receive any calls or whatsapp regarding such payments. I’m tired of informing these victims don’t fall into scams, and telling them it wasn’t me who calling them!

I also found out from one of the victims that someone else (using Celcom too) had the same issue. The victims even screenshot their call log and show me “my number” calling them (when my credit was expired!).

Now I’ve just ported out to another telco because I can no longer bare with these incoming calls. Which is why Celcom refused to acknowledge the problem. This is a serious matter, it’s not about me one person, it’s about all others!

I have all the proofs and have police report and police told me to give the letter to Celcom, but Celcom’s customer service representative was ignorant and cut off the chat just because i have ported out to other telco despite my efforts explaining the situation.

Now my regret is I shouldn’t have ported out before I report to police! In fact i talked to Celcom twice before i ported out, they only told me to report police, they said they can’t do much for me as a telco.

I suspect their system was compromised in a way, which is why scammers knew when (ie during expired credit) to use our number to scam?

Hi,

I port out a celcom number to xox black RM39/month e-sim. Received a receipt without ICCID, reported and they fixed and resend me the email this time with ICCID.

Then, I was told not to activate the ICCID first until i replied CELCOM’s sms.

Ok so I waited and replied to Celcom sms to confirm port out. Once the simcard network became failed, i started to activate the ICCID on Black app.

Unfortunately, it can’t be activated. Stuck at the same screen despite pressing the “->” button. Reinstalling app and use different OS doesn’t help.

Now someone trying to call me, it says nombor tiada dalam perkhidmatan.. Reported to XOX but they seem to take this quite lightly.

Is this normal?

As per title, I understand this might be a very old macbook and most of us might just recommend new laptop. However, if and unfortunately this is the only choice now due personal reasons by my friend (and a quick google search actually gave a suggestion "Sandisk SSD Plus 480gb" can be a suitable fit), anyone know whether any shops provide such service? Currently the macbook has 8GB RAM.
