Ducting for Kitchen Hood

Hi,

I'm hoping to get some advice on alternative ways to connect the ducting system for my kitchen hood. Since my hood is slightly far away from the exhaust hole, I will need to connect extra ducting and the kit comes with a tape to hold the ducts together. My ID said there is another way to connect the ducts by using clips, which is better than using the tape (standard method) because in the long run the tape may peel.

I've approached shops which sells hoods and it seems that the norm is using the tape, I think the method using clips is more of an improvisation. Anybody can give any input on this? Coz I've no idea where to get the clips also, the hardware shops are not much of a help.

Thanks a lot![attachmentid=5791529]
