I came accross picture of shower screen using "transparent brick"

Can the sifus here shed some light whether that is functional and possible of DIY?

Hi guys,

waterp pressure getting low in my semi-D house.
Engage a water "specialist" in kuching area and he suggested me puregen water pump 1hp + Stainless steel 850litre water tank

he quoted rm3000 is that worthwhile??

One more thing is about the connection. I did not reserve a pipe and electric socket for the water pump when i first move in.
so, the piping now need to be reconnected.
He say he need to disconnect the old incoming piping and from the Water board meter, rejoin a new pipe all the way from the front to my back yard (abt 60 foot), make a slap for the water tank to stand on the soil ground and rocennect the pipe to one of water point with a T-connector.

So to all sifu, the most concerning part is the connection. IS THAT A RIGHT WAY TO CONNECT? my the other quote suggest me to run the pipe to the backyard then run another one from the back to the front where the incoming pipe is suppose to be.

which one should i follow?
also, anyone from kuching to suggest me a better installer with good price? TIA!

hi guys, surveying on replacement of my 32" lcd tv.

1st, budget is a problem. Im looking for things below 2k.
SO, no smart features, no 3d++ nothing! plain TV as only using that for astro

Dun want plasma as tv possition is direct opposite window.

Would love to have 46" but price gap btw 42" is big!!!

So, the idea is, cheapest LCD/LED 42"(46" if can) tv in town, any model to suggest?

Burglary prevention for landed properties

Hi forumer,

My new house being intruded weeks ago, right after that my neighbour intruded days ago with aircond/water heater ripped off.
As we are about to move in to the new house from a GnG apartment, we start to get very worried about the security.

What i had done is
1. Alarm
2. CCtv
3. Grille + clamps

Now i was told that doing a louvered fencing on top of surrounding wall may help.
My house is a semi-D. Backside remain as a construction side with lots of worker staying in. The surrounding wall is only abt 5 feet high which claimed by ppl that interior can be easily seen and climbed over.

I'm extremely worried abt security and a contractor sugested me that I can install a louvered fence (aluminium i supposed) on top of the 5 feet wall on the back and side way wall. (front wall not considered as it is main road, remain visibility is important) the idea is

1: to prevent the ppl from the back (ie construction site/open area) to look into my house.
2: Most importantly, louvered is suppose to be installed very light and not as steady. Is we install 2 feet high ie abt 7 feet in total, burglar wont have place to grip if they want to climb over.
3: we can install sensor on the louver to detect any shaking with alarm on.

what do u guys think about it? workable?

Wish to have another thread with all the locks and grille enforce equipment also to further discuss what can be done.

of course, there will be daytime robbery which go right on you and nothing much can be done. But this is to prevent and make sure We will have a good night sleep everyday.

storage heater

Hi guys, i'm moving into a semi D house and need to install storage heater/s

I'm planning to get my master bedroom a 35lit (?) storage heater as that will be my main toilet for daily shower.
The question is, for my bedroom 1 and 2. there are just for guests who visit and maybe for future use of my little daughter.
SHould i install another 2 smaller unit for each individual toilet or just link the copper pipe to all 3 units.

which one is more economical??? or bedroom 1 and 2 share one? Im afraid that the dealer will just suggest me to buy more units as it is easier for them to install and more earning for them which a honest advice might save me $$$

and what brand and voume will u guys recommend? Joven/Alpha??? Currently there r 3 person in the house, will 35litre enough?

EOL/new Imac 21.5 or MAC Mini + Dell LCD Monitor

Hi there,

I'm a very light user of PC at home. Most of the time is in Office using my old DELL 6400.
But i will need a PC at home for my wife and some storage of my file. (doc+ movies+photos)

My wife also seldom use pc, most of the time is on her iphone surfing and watching utube. and im using ipad2 moost of the time

We used to have an Imac at home but for some reason is already given out.

So i was thinking to get another "station" at home.....just a "station" to plug my printer, manage pictures from dslr, watch some HD movie. do a little bit of photo editing, sync ipad/iphone and store documents, pdf.......

Is more like a "station". Seldom use but when is needed, is very much needed.

So, Is Mac mini going to serve me these?? or I still need an Imac.

Imac cost rm3800 and mini only rm1800. Huge difference.

anyone can advice???

Handy Printer for Iphone

Ok, I know there is so many ways i can copy my photo to any PC then print out from the A4 Printer.

But what I am looking for now is something specifically for photo printing that can straight away connect iphone/ipad to the photo printer (through iphone usb cable i suppose) and print reasonable quality photos.

Any guide that i can go through or anyone got any experience/suggestion???

How to arrange photos without using iPhoto

Hi guys. Just got my ipad 2 for few days ago together with a camera connection kit.

One of my initial intention is to make my ipad into a photo album for everything. Those pics taken using iphone, d60, old collection, some interior design idea....... I am compiling it all into ipad (hopefully without going thru pc)

I used my camera connection kit to import all my photos into ipad.
the problem is now...the photos all mess up!!!!!

How can I do grouping into album without using iphoto(as i searched thru internet)

is there any specific app to do so? OR at least.... if it need to go thru PC, what software should i use?

My intention is to be as simple as possible (isnt it the idea of APPLE?? PC less???)

Hi, just bought a new 35mm and need a filter, mainly for protection.

I then dig out the lens filter that my ex-8800 ex-owner passed to me.
but the problem is, the lens is now like this:

what is that blur thing? this is a polarized lens and seems like steam stucked in between glasses.
Can that be used?? or definitely to throw away?

and also....what filter is this?

As this is all by my old machine ex-owner, i have no idea what is that.

How much do they cost anyway? if i need to get a new one.

[need help] How to "speed up" the iphone?

hi, found that the loading of my bitesms, contact and some app is a little bit slow.....
it took few sec to load the things and really beh tahan when time goes by.
was using nokia and is really fast and simple to use

currently only have 3 page of application....try to cut down as much as possible to hopefully help the problem but not really

firmware upgraded to 2.2 pwnage Jail break

free space after using bosstool is 140M of 500M on/5.8G of 7.1G on/private/var

what can i do now to help with the speed???? really beh tahan oh.......

bitesms retriever slows down

Hi all

Has been using the Aussie Iphone 3g FW2.2 JB installed with bitesms for a while.....
found that the loading speed to bitesms has been slow down a load. (is not fast at first either)

Why is that? is that I have loaded with too many application???? it took around 5-10 sec to load the SMS. it was so slow compared to my old nokia and let me become "bek Check" everytime opening the sms....

Anyone has any idea and resolution for that???? thanks and happy new year

How to share internet with my laptop linked to 3G

Hi everyone, I'm using 3G celcom broadband and i dun want to buy the expensive 3G wireless router.
There is no fixed phone line yet here to apply for streamyx

Now, i want internet access both for my laptop and iphone
How can i make it possible?
Is PDAnet allowing my iphone to go online together with my laptop?
(but then need to change my digi simcard to the 3G celcom simcard everytime i want both of them to online)

Can i make the reverse way of PDAnet, meaning that i hook on my laptop with 3G internet and then my iphone share the internet by the laptop???

Not sure this is iphone problem or networking problem
Hope someone can help

swrilymms keep fetching data

Just installed swirlymms from cydia, wanted to do setting up as suggested.
But when wanted to type in all the APN....it automatically jump to fetching data wizard.... how to get about? thanks

Jailbreaking software : pwnage
Problem Encountered : installed swirlymms but cannot setup. it will automatically fetch data but fail
Steps Had Taken (list down) : cant do anything as it keep popping out the fetching data automatically everytime want to do setup

singtel plan on iphone

i know this issue had been raised and sorry to ask again for the detail

If i have a relative in singapore who is on singtel contrat, what benefit will he have if he sign on a new iphone plan again.

Of course i will take the phone but how about the contract? DO i just let the contrat charge on me without using it at all?

and how long will the contract be? 12 months or 24 months?

How to go about this, thanks....
