Please watch out this SCAMMER company, they are selling QIYI TVBox, claim that best spec in the market. I transfer money to them on 12/Jan/2020, but they BLOCK me after that. I had made the police report and complaint to all official department on this case. Later, found many people get cheated by the same company.

Iconic Vacation Club IVC hidden info

Things you should know but the Iconic Vacation Club sales consultant might hide from you:
1. If you are Gold member, you can only book Traveler (1 Room); If you are Platinum member, you can only book Canary (2 rooms). There is no more upgrade or downgrade options available. If the sales person tells you can, please record down the conversation.
2. The annual maintenance fee for Gold is RM390, Platinum is RM500. If you don’t pay the maintenance fee, you are not allow to utilize your entitlement. Besides, they have right to increase the maintenance fee from time to time.
3. Booking during weekend, public holiday or public holiday eve required at least 2 nights, otherwise, they will still deduct 2 nights from you.
4. Forget about the compliment voucher, the chances of success booking are equal to strike ToTo. Don’t believe? Check out this tread: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...l=vacation+club
5. They may and have right to change the booking rules as they want, and claim that they have right to execute:
a. 2014 – Implementing booking must be minimum consecutive 2 nights during weekend, public holiday and eve of public holiday
b. 2015 – Fix room type booking by Gold / Platinum member, before that you may book any room type you need base on availability.
c. 2016 – Surprises awaiting…
6. Don’t make your complaint to customer service. It is useless, after you talk for one hour on your concern, they will repeating telling you nothing much they can do, they are just follow the guideline; they will ask you to write in (member@iconicvacationclub.com), then they will forward to the management.
7. Don’t make your complaint to senior management. If you made the complaint to the AVP of customer Service (Ms Carina Goh carina@iconicvacationclub.com ), the arrogant way she revert to you will make you even mad and regret about the club. So, don’t be harsh to yourself.
8. They might be telling you the unutilized room may sell to others to cover the member fee. Yes, but you also need to know the market price of Traveler is offer as low as RM250 while Canary is RM500. Hence, do your math, is it worth to spend 28k / 50k to stay for 2 nights a year at the same resort for over 20/25 years. Do you really want to manage the balance or let it forfeited? The more members they get, the room rate will go even lower.
9. Yay, they have about 30 affiliate hotel. However, 16 of it located in Spain (10), US(1), Turkey(2), Australia (2), UK(1). Unlikely we can benefit from it. The rest of the resort is much lower grade than Iconic Sepang Gold Coast if you book through Agoda/Booking. Besides, each booking on affiliate hotel incurred surcharge of RM35 per room per nights. Is it really worth to do the exchange?
10. Cooling off period is 10 days from the date you signed, you may still have chance to cancel. From the internet, they may give you a lot of excuse to drag over the cooling off period (person in charge MC/OL/Meeting, etc). Be firmed to your decision and follow up closely.

This is based on my personal experience these years with IVC, if you have any extra points to add on, please share with me. We should compile a list at least to safe next victim.
