Hi everyone, urgent case here, my dad (age: 61) has been diagnosed got Ossification of Posterior Longitudinal Ligament (OPLL).

In short, the blood vein (on neck;spine area) has been pressured and compressed, and my dad's condition is very serious now which he always feel numbness on his both hands and legs; he can't walk on his own.

Consulted two doctors, one from Sentosa and another Tung Shing, both of them say he will went paralyzed if his condition worsen.. and the surgery cost gonna cost about 50k to 70k.. which is extremely difficult for us to handle..

Has anyone here experienced this matter before?
* Which hospital is most recommended for this kind of surgery?
* Is there a way to get loan from bank for this matter? (Don't want illegal money lender please)

Please help, extremely urgent, thanks in advance.

I'd wish to keep my budget as tight as possible ,may I know are there cheaper yet reliable alternative parts among all these?

Mobo: either Asus P8z77-M / Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H / Asrock H77 PRO4 MVP (are these good for GPU OCing?)

GPU: either hd7850 OC *crossfire in future* or single Gtx 670 or wait gtx 660 announcement

Monitor: DELL U2312HM? (or any choice that more money+warranty worthy?)

Casing: Strike-X One Advanced

CPU: i5 3450 IB (not OCing so should be good enough)

RAM: Vengeance Low Profile 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit?

DVD: anything will do

HDD: 500gb is more than enough to me

PSU:ENERMAX NAXN82+ 650W 80Plus Bronze

SSD: not needed atm

I wish to get all these from one shop, prevent hassle of DIY cuz I'm a noob

Will faulty GPU/PSU cause damage to monitor?

Hi everyone, I'm suspecting my ancient GPU (8600Gts) went nuts and:

1) toasted two LCD 21" and 20" monitor (turn totally black after switched on for 1sec)

2) "blurred" another 17" CRT monitor's display (the screen keep flickering before became blur)

There are occasions where windows prompt me an error saying that GPU has stopped working, and it freezes the whole computer so I had to force restart the system.
I could still play some 3D game after restarted computer. But still, the GPU error would randomly happen.

Also, there is strong "loosed fan turning" sound coming out from RIG but I'm not sure which fan making the noise, wonder if this is the cause too

So anyone knows what's the cause of this?
Please enlighten me, thanks in advance!

Here's my hardware specs incase needed:

Mobo: Gigabytes S-series GA-P35-DS3
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz
RAM: 4gb ddr2
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS
PSU: not sure Orz

Ages of items: either 4 or 5 years except 21" monitor which only being used for nearly 1.5 years

Please recommend good ENT specialist

Hi guys, I've been suffering from deviated spectrum (nose), it caused me hard to breath and sometimes it bleeds out of sudden :/
I've consulted specialist from Tung shin hospital, and the doctor said it's good to opt for operation ASAP and quoted me price of RM4k (at least) for that operation.

But I'd wish to check my nose condition again at other places and compare their facilities and pricing, so can you guys please enlighten me?

Hey guys, I need someone to enlighten me regarding this matter, please and thank you

There was once a Unifi staff came to install Unifi for my neighbour, and he told us that he could register the service for us and I just need to hand over my photocopy IC to him.

The incident took place around Thursday (01-03-2012) of two week past, and until today, there was no sign of follow-up services after since.

For your information, we first submitted a photocopy IC that slashed with words: "For TM use only", but he refused to accept and requested a non-slashed copy from us, and we given it to him.

May I ask is that really true that slashed copy would not be accepted? Is he reliable?
What worse is, his phone number is unreachable too whenever I call.

Sorry if this is irrelevant here, but I wish to get more information before I can do something.

Side-note:
What I wish to know is, does it matter that a stranger like him get hold of my photocopy IC?
I don't really want to get into any troubles with that

Hello everyone, first of all please pardon me for my bad English

I think I'm having health issues pertaining ENT (Ears, Nose, Throat) and I would like to seek for your valuable advice.

Currently I'm still unsure what's wrong with me, so I would like to attach the symptoms that I have

Already went for ENT specialist at Tung Shin hospital recently; the doctor said the bone of my nose is "seriously-twisted", so it affects my "breathing process" thus causes all these symptoms.
That doctor didn't gave me any medicine by the way, and straight away say I need to go for minor nose operation.
I found that this doctor isn't that convincing..so I'm searching for another credible one..

So..Can anyone please recommend me any reliable ENT specialist in KL area?

I sincerely appreciate for your help, and thanks in advance!

PTPTN Approval List for IPTS

Ello everyone, I'm from HELP University College and please may I know whether the approval list been released?

I'd registered at 8th of March 2010, and the list suppose to be released on 23rd of March..
but unfortunately whenever I logon to the epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my site, it's still showing the forms that I've previously key-ed in my details.

After asking the college loan consultant, I've been told that I should not logon to the website AT ALL since I've submitted the application. He claims that my application wont be progressed because I've logon to the site before the list released, is this true? (which i think kinda not logic)

So anyone from HELP applying for the loan? Can anyone please clear my doubts?
I need help please, please help the poor lil HELPian here

Hello everyone, thanks for coming in and please help me out, and please bear with my bad English too

I'm a TARC graduand who have just graduated from TARC's E-Commerce & Marketing Diploma course..
Recently I've been confused about which college or university should I choose to pursue my further degree level studies

For now I am considering with:

1) UTAR - Marketing Course
2) Apiit - E-Marketing Course

So may I ask, if ..for Business studies, which could have better reputation and most welcomed by local companies?
and is there any other college that having good reputation of business courses too?
I heard that HELP is not a bad choice, but what about SEGI?
I may consider TAYLOR if the fees isn't that expensive, but from what I've heard from my friend, the fees is 40% more expensive than in Apiit =.="

As what I know, Apiit is really famous for IT courses, but I've never heard any about their Business course..
Furthermore, the E-Marketing that they offered is ACTUALLY Business in Computing, which makes me worry more because it is not pure business..

Can anyone please enlighten me?
I need advices and I have to decide ASAP because Apiit july intake is getting near...please, help me out >.<

I'm a college student and wish to purchase a laptop for daily college's usage (such as assignment and homework) and a lil bit of gaming (I like nice laptop design btw).
Recently I'm looking for laptops which cost RM3k and below, and these are the brands that come into my mind:

1. HP Pavilion DV2 - RM 2,399

Pros
- Nice design and nice spec (Moonlight White kinda sexy )
- Easy to bring along

Cons
- having overheat issue
- seems to have some problem with speaker(s)
- inefficient for multi-tasking

2. Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 (Freedos + Integrated GC) - RM 2,499

Pros
- Nice and clean design
- Better processor and DDR3 RAM

Cons
- I've read through reviews on Lenovo threads and found out that it might have problems with the screen and keyboard

3. HP Pavilion DV3611tx - RM 2,999

Pros
- Nice design and special bronze colour
- 13.3 screen size is most suitable IMO
- Fingerprint reader
- Quite good spec with it

Cons
- Keyboard is pretty hard to get used in low light or dark room

Hello everyone, I'm just graduated with TARC diploma cert and is planning to join Apiit to pursue the degree level cert.
There are something that made me confuse and I hope that someone could enlighten me
and please pardon me for my bad English :

As I am a Diploma holder, I could just skip the previous level and start with level 2 degree right?
My friend told me that the course will cost me about 35k ++ for the level 2 and level 3 degree excluded accomodation fees and so on.

Unfortunately, I've been told by another friend that..Apiit will request us to purchase SOMETHING else which will cost us quite a lot besides the course fees?
and if the cost been added up, it will cost me roughly 50k++

My friend says that Apiit is kind of "suck blood" for unnecessary things..
Is that true that Apiit will actually simply request us to purchase other thing else?
50k in total is a lot to me, I won't be able to handle thaat large amount even if I get loan from ptptn or banks..

Could anyone please enlighten me?
