PIN Release Issue.

hi, im in a difficult situation and would like to ask a few questions here. I'm currently using BB Curve 8520 Gemini, which I've traded not long time ago with a forumer here. The thing is, he didn't release the BB pin from Maxis (the BB was from Maxis, and he didn't knew that it was registered) and I'm having trouble of register the BIS using my number. Went to Maxis KLCC and they said that only the true owner of the phone can release the pin...so if I plan to change to Digi or Celcom, can they help me release the pin instead? Is there anyway around? Are those pin automatically released once the contract expires? Or can I simply ask Maxis to reveal the previous owner information so I can call him/her to release the pin?

Went to maxis at Alamanda today. Ive asked them about the BIS premium weekly for hotlink prepaid...they said that my device isnt supported, is it true?

Im new to BB and want to test BIS, so maybe plan for upgrade for postpaid unlimited plan soon....
