why is my guitar squealing?

A per title, my Epi Les Paul is sensitive whenever i add high gain. Its most sensitive at the bridge pickup.

The kind of high-pitched squeal that goes on when i play and even if i stop playing... oh and it still goes on even after i turn away from the Amp.

Only after i lower the volume past a certain threshold it stops.

I don't know what kind of pickups my guitar has could they be the problem? or some internal wiring thing?
