<title>SATA II compatibility with MSI motherboard</title>
            <link>http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/876800</link>
<description>Hi guys,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;ve just upgraded my PC with an additional 640GB provided by a Western Digital hard drive (WD6400AAKS). I&amp;#39;m having problems getting my motherboard (MSI&amp;#39;s MS-7032 K8M Neo-V) to detect the hard drive (the hard drive doesn&amp;#39;t show up in the &amp;quot;boot sequence&amp;quot; menu during BIOS setup). As a result, the PC doesn&amp;#39;t boot properly and will keep restarting. I&amp;#39;ve visited the MSI website for technical support but couldn&amp;#39;t find the answer. Do I need to update my BIOS to let the motherboard detect my new HDD? My old HDD is a SATA-I and I was wondering if I&amp;#39;ll ever get the new HDD running or not. Can anybody suggest any possible causes/remedies to this problem? Thanks.</description>
