Remote shutting down pc

this nice trick i had done...just send sms then will remotely shutting down my pc...

# requirement :-
a. internet connection...
b. POP mail client (i use ms outlook2003)...
c. email acc(i use gmail acc...easy to configure)

*hotmail only available by using their HTTP interface....to use your hotmail account via POP3/SMTP protocols...you should subscribe the "MSN Extra Storage" or "MSN Internet Service" (by paying a fee)....alternatevily you could have a look at these 3rd part services such as pop3hot...

*yahoo...when i use ms outlook...on pop3 n smtp setting...ms outlook can't login to my yahoo mail acc...

d. of couse your hp(sms service...) or ur email acc...

a. click here for guide to configure gmail pop setting...
b. click here for guide to configure POP mail client...
c. then go Tim Matheson blog...to download shutdown batch file n guide to configure...here i sumaries from Tom Matheson's guide for easy reading...

d. walah...finish setting liao...now get ur hp...type "smsshutdown%%"...then send...here for celcom user...for maxis user...n sorry for digi user...cause i cannot find guide sms2email from digi official site...

e. u also can use your email from other pc to shut down ur pc...type "smsshutdown%%" on subject...

a. this trick will not work with HTTP mail such as Hotmail....
b. you need to leave Outlook running all the time...
c. you can edit "smsshutdown%%" at tools -> rules and alerts....
