R1/R2/R3 games will use different servers?

I'm curious to know if games for R1, R2 and R3 will be logged on to different servers based on the disc region. Let's say I buy SSFIV for R1, will I be logged on to servers in the US and not Asia?

Can mistake in e-filing be corrected?

I made a huge mistake with my e-filing tax! Already submit it via digital signature but after reviewing I realized I put the wrong info on the amount of salary.

How much do IT technician charge for installing LAN network? Do they charge by the number of days to set up or the number of network ports?

Let's say a 12 port LAN network, with router, modem, mini cabinet. Any ideas?

I have tons of stuff burned to CDs but I noticed the discs starting to degrade after 3+ years and thinking about transferring all the stuff I burned to a new media. But nowadays even DVD is not enough and sometime the quality of the DVD R's can be a problem.

I'm thinking of backing up all the ISO files to an external drive (500GB is very nice). Will backup via hard drive would be better? Also, is it recommended to buy a 3.5 HDD or 2.5 HDD to backup your files.

Buy OEM or Retail?

I plan to get Windows 7 Home Premium.

However, I think at some point (maybe a year or two) I might upgrade my PC (mobo + hdd) and I was wondering if it is better to buy OEM or Retail.

I know that OEM version can only be registered once to a particular set of mobo + hdd.

So should I change some hardware it means OEM version will not be able to work anymore. I could buy Retail version but the price I read is really expensive (but at least you can transfer up to 3 PC).

Any thoughts on this?

Digi WLM not compatible with N82?

I tried to download Digi Windows Live Messenger but apparently it does not support my N82. As far as I know N82 is almost identical to N95/N95 8gb in terms of software.

A friend of mine have got himself a AMD Phenom 9950 processor. Unfortunately he cannot find the motherboard Asus M3N-HT Deluxe / Mempipe.

Can anyone here recommend him the alternative motherboard that is equal or better performance than the M3N-HT? Thanks!

OEM activation

Let say I buy the Malaysian Windows Vista Home Premium. It is said that the special Malaysian version is OEM and can only be activated in Malaysia (I read you can get it at around RM330.00).

1. If I change my motherboard I will not be able to use Vista anymore?

2. How many time I can format & activate this version? Note that I'm using the same computer hardware.

3. If I do a full backup (ghost/image) of the fresh installation (after being activated), and if my PC somehow got attacked by virus, will I be able to restore Vista OEM that was activated?

So I went to this computer fair looking for an ADSL modem with at least 4 LAN ports (no plan to use wireless).

I was told that D-link have tendency to overheat from one seller but then he went on to say Aztech has stability issue.

The Aztech is DSL605ER (with 4 LAN port). Same goes with D-link but I cannot remember the model.

Help me to decide! Both are priced about RM140.

Worth to upgrade my current PC specs?

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC. Current specs are:

AMD 2500+
1GB DDR 400
Radeon 9600XT (AGP)
Abit NF7-S

I feel I need to upgrade so I could keep up with the latest games as well as playing those HD videos smoothly.

But I wonder if its worth to upgrade such rig? Let's say I go for Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor. Is it worth it? Would performance jump be significant? Keep in mind should I upgrade I would have to do away my current Graphic Card & mobo.

I don't want to go overboard with my budget (limit to 1.5K).

Any thoughts? Worth it? Or should wait a little longer?
