Hi there guys , I just received my SPM results and now I am planning to go to form 6 or matriculation . If I didn't get matriculation , I would go to form 6 . I would like to take Degree in Food Technology/Biotech in the future . But if I get matriculation , should I go for it ? As Degree in Food Technology/Biotech seems better at overseas and if I get matriculation and went for it , would it be a good choice ? The list of Matriculation candidates will be announced this coming Wednesday .

Hi there , I just finished my SPM and just got my results . Before the results released , I am thinking about taking Culinary Arts as I have interest in cooking . But after the results released , the whole thing changed . I thought that will it be wasted if I study culinary arts with this results . By the way , I always cooked at home for myself only and cooking for lots of people is different . Then now I am thinking that I should go for science-related field . My dad doesn't encourage me to go to A-levels because it quite costly and he said that those courses in A-Levels are available in Form 6 .

I need advice . Any help will be appreciated . Thank you very much .

p/s : I also applied for Matriculation and what's the chances of a non-bumiputera to get a place in Matriculation ?

DDR2 vs DDR3 and other RAM questions

I am planning to get a new gaming rig with the mobo ASUS P5Q3 P45,as it comes bundled with 2gb of DDR3 RAM,
i have a few questions for the sifus out there : -

1) should i spend the $$ to buy 2more gb of ddr3 RAM or buy 4gb of ddr2 RAM and keep the DDR3 RAM for the time being ?

2) What is the difference between value rams and performance rams ? The price difference is quite significant ,about a rm100 difference.

3)Does OC-ing the RAM cause SIGNIFICANT performance increase ? Does the price difference between performance and value ram justify the OC potential ?

4)What is the difference between 667mhz,800mhz and 1066mhz ? I know its the speed,but what exactly does it translate to ?

i am intending to replace my old computer with a brand new rig and i would like to try OC-ing it, the specs are as below :

Processor : C2D E8400 / C2Q 6600

Mobo : Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

Ram : Kingston Hyper-X 4GB DDR2 1066MHz

Graphics : Gigabyte 9800GTX+/HD 4850

So i have a few questions : -

1) For the moment, i do not wish to buy additional cooling yet,so can OC be achieved with the stock heatsink fans for E8400/C2Q6600 ?

2) Is the mobo suitable for oc-ing ?

3) Whats the difference between ram with 800mhz and ram with 1066mhz?

4)DDR2 / DDR3 is better ? to rephrase, what is the future of memory? can DDR2 last for at least 2 years ?

5) I intend to use my rig mainly for gaming purposes,will there be a SIGNIFICANT increase in performance comparing C2D with C2Q ?

6)What is the difference with FSB of 1333 and 1066 (E8400 and Q6600)
