Laptops with good built-in speakers?

Hey guys,

Laptops usually have pretty poor built-in speakers, but some are much poorer than the others. At the moment I'm using the acer 4741G which I mistakenly thought had good speakers, but theyre actually pretty damn terrible.

Want to buy another laptop soon, and wanted to know which laptops that are currently selling at LY or LYN have decent loud crisp built in speakers. Good for a laptop of course. I remember some of the older Toshibas and Asus multimedia laptops had decent and loud speakers, is that still the case?

So..which laptop models have the loudest/best built-in speakers these days? HELP!

Connecting XBox360 to LCD Monitor

hey all

So i was planning to buy a rather big LCD HD monitor and connect it to an xBox360 via HDMI. Sounds foolproof, but will there be an audio output?

Im planning to get this.. http://www.lge.com/products/model/detail/W2243T.jhtml

So is there any way I can manage to get an audio signal, for eg is there any HDMI>audio/video splitter? I have a speaker set and wouldnt mind connecting it to that if I was able to..

Has anyone else encountered such a problem?

Thanks and sorry if this question sounds retarded

Best 3.5" Enclosure?

hey all..

simple enough question, which one is the best 3.5" hdd enclosure to get, something that dissipates heat the most efficiently, very tolerant to shock and which can last me for a while (provided i take really good care of it, of course)?

I always thought xcrafts were great, but they're no longer available for some reason, and i need one by tmorrow..

any suggestions? thanks!

1TB Hard Drives - More Risk of Failure?

Hey all

I'm wondering whether to get a 640GB or a 1TB WD Caviar Green for myself. I intend to use it only as an external and will buy the most promising external enclosure I can find (The sarotech hardbox m?) but i've been hearing about a lot of failures in 1tb drives.

Has anyone experienced these failures? why do they occur in the first place? Is the green power less prone to failure since it has been released more recently and utilises less power?

Thanks!

Installing 4GB RAM on a max 2GB motherboard?

Hey..

I'm thinking of upgrading my RAM from 2x shitty 333MHz DDR2 1GB to 6400 800MHz 2x2GB. I checked for compatibility in crucial.com and it says the max my laptop can support is 2GB 6400. What will happen if I install 4GB instead?

Sorry, complete upgrade n00b here...any advice will be much appreciated
