RAM vs Processor in for lappy

Is it necessary to have 4GB DDR2 SDRAM for the laptop powered by AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 / 1.6Mhz, L2 cache, running with Windows 7. How does it benefit the performance? Will the laptop utilize 4GB RAM?

Hi All,

I have just bought Fujitsu P3010 laptop from the PC fair yesterday which is powered by AMD Athlon NEO MV-40, run in Windows 7, with 4GB DDR2 RAM.

I thought Fujitsu is a higher end product with promising quality but surprisingly the processor is very noisy as if it utilize lot of CPU usage while it was only running MSN and IE. Whenever I launch a program, the CPU usage will hit 100%. The keyboard get warm very fast despite I just turned it on for not more than half an hour. This is the first time I actually encoutered such noisy processor as if it was running intensively. I have been using laptops for many years.

Sometimes the sound went very loud then came lower again, then after a while went loud again, in a constant interval. It happened quite often.

Is it normal and what could be wrong with the laptop? Gonna send it to Fujitsu shop but before that wanna get some advices here so I won't be fooled.

New vs Old Blog

Hi All,

I have an old blog which is one year old using Blogger and another new blog which is few months old using WordPress.

Both blogs have similar contents except I intend to focus on only Travel related posts in new created WordPress, whereas the old blog will include my personal posts as well, on top of the travel posts.

I thought WordPress should be better than Blogger in term of SEO (I have configured SEO in wordpress) but I found out my old blog (A different Lifestyle) is doing way better than my new blog (Travel Living Bliss).

For example, the exactly same post with same contents and title in both new and old blog, it was ranked in second page of Google Search for old blog, while I couldn't even find the new blog in Google search.

Any idea what has gone wrong with my new blog?

All In One SEO Plugin

Hi all, I just installed All In One SEO Plugin and configured it accordingly.

Is that all I need to do? I saw there is a All In One SEO column in Edit Post page. Do I need to enter anything or the plugin will auto generate it for me? But I don't see anything in the SEO column.

Does it relate to the TAGs also? As I read that it will auto generate the keywords based on the tags and category. But currently I didn't input any tags for all my posts.

New Wordpress Blog: Travel Living Bliss

New Wordpress with Unfixed Issues

Hi All,

Finally got myself a new travel blog with Wordpress.

However, there are 2 issues encountered in the template that I use.

1. There is missing prev and next link in each page. For example when I click on category 'Europe', I set it to display only 5 posts, but after that there were no prev and next link to view the next 5 posts. I wonder how to fix it.

2. There is missing 'Read More' for each post also. I have the Read More icon but not sure how to implement it.

Can anyone help?

I'm thinking if it's worth the effort to start my own domain and a niche blog about Travel. I'm currently using blogspot though. I wonder how much a successful blogger can earn.

Can anyone out there share your info?

1. What type of website you own?
2. Average visitors per day.
3. Average income per month -> from any source. Preferably if you can list down your source.
4. How much time you spend on blogging weekly?
5. Is this your side income or main income?
6. How old is your website? How long does it take to achieve your goal (with satisfactory number of visitors)
7. Any other comments to share?

Malaysia Attractions ~ One Day Trip

Hey guys... I run out of idea where else in M'sia I can visit during weekend, just a one day trip without spending a night.

I'm going to list down all places (nearby KL for one day trip) I have been and would like to survey other than the places in the list, any other recommendations or any other interesting places that I never realize. I would really like to fully explore M'sia.

1. Genting Highlands, Bukit Tinggi
2. Fraser Hills
3. Cameron Highlands
4. Ipoh - Just purposely drove there for dimsum... wahaha
5. Gua Tempurung

8. Kuala Selangor - for seafood and fireflies watching
9. Zoo Negara - yeah... I even went to Zoo Negara

Anyone been to Gunung Tahan? Is 5 days sufficient for the whole trip, as I heard there are actually longer route and shorter route.

I'm planning to do a 5 days hike next year March.

Please share your experience here.
