Now a UFO has been recently filmed being transported by Russian military helicopter (see first video below) and the footage below has become set forums across the internet alight with speculation. Some have suggested that this might indeed by the object that crashed outside Irkutsk. Some have also suggested that in a surprise move Russia may turn out to be the nation that informs the world of the the fact that we are being visited by UFOs and aliens and have been for some time.

Hernando County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Brooksville woman accused of beating two kittens with a baseball bat in a public park and then encouraging her two children to add to the animals' suffering.

Deputies say Wilana J. Frazier, 24, killed one kitten and severely injured the second. She then encouraged her two young children to throw one kitten against a tree and cut the other kitten's neck.

Several witnesses saw the attack Friday at Hill N Dale Community Park in Brooksville.

Deputies charged Frazier with animal cruelty and contributing to the deliquency of minors. She was taken into custody and transported to Hernando County Jail.

NEW YORK (AFP) – A group of prominent former world leaders said Wednesday the so-called war on drugs has "failed" and that decriminalizing marijuana may help curb drug-related violence and social ills.

"The global war on drugs has failed, with devastating consequences for individuals and societies around the world," the members of the Global Commission on Drug Policy say in a report.

"Fifty years after the initiation of the UN Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, and 40 years after President (Richard) Nixon launched the US government's war on drugs, fundamental reforms in national and global drug control policies are urgently needed."

And saying that restrictions on marijuana should be loosened, the report urged governments to "end the criminalization, marginalization and stigmatization of people who use drugs but who do no harm to others."

The commission includes former Brazilian president Fernando Cardoso, former Colombian president Cesar Gaviria, Mexico's former president Ernesto Zedillo and the ex-UN chief Kofi Annan. It presents its report officially on Thursday in New York.

The group of prominent statesmen, many from countries on the frontline of the seemingly never-ending war on drugs, said purely punitive measures had in fact led to a situation where "the global scale of illegal drug markets -- largely controlled by organized crime -- has grown dramatically."

"Encourage experimentation by governments with models of legal regulation of drugs (especially cannabis) to undermine the power of organized crime and safeguard the health and security of their citizens," the report urged.

"Decriminalization initiatives do not result in significant increases in drug use," the report said, citing policies in Australia, Holland and Portugal.

Another priority, the report said, is to work on treatment. "Let's start by treating drug addiction as a health issue, reducing drug demand through proven educational initiatives and legally regulating rather than criminalizing cannabis," Cardoso said.

Prisoners in China were forced to play online games such as World of Warcraft to build up credits for their guards to trade for money.

Prisoners in China were forced to spend their nights playing online computer games for the financial benefit of their guards, according to a report from the UK's Guardian.

The practice of building up credits and online value through the monotonous repetition of basic tasks in online games such as World of Warcraft is called "gold farming." The trade in virtual assets is very real however. Millions of gamers around the world are prepared to pay real money for such online credits, which they can use to progress in the online games.

As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Liu Dali would toil by day breaking rocks and digging trenches in open cast coalmines. By night however he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells in online games.

Prison guards would then trade the credits the prisoners earned for real money. Liu, 54, himself a former prison guard who was jailed for three years in 2004 for "illegally petitioning" the central government about corruption in his hometown, was one of scores of prisoners forced to play online games to build up credits. He reckons the operation was even more lucrative than the physical labour that prisoners were also forced to do.

According to Liu, there were 300 prisoners forced to play games, working 12-hour shifts in the camp. Liu heard the prison bosses say they could earn 5,000-6,000 yuan (US$770-US$925) per day from the operation, though prisoners did not see any of the money. The computers were never turned off.

Liu says he cannot get rid of the memories of the imprisonment years at Jixi re-education-through-labour camp. Although the labor by day was backbreaking, the most surreal part was the forced online gaming. The hard slog may have been virtual but the punishment for falling behind was real.

"If I couldn't complete my work quota, they would punish me physically. They would make me stand with my hands raised in the air and after I returned to my dormitory they would beat me with plastic pipes. We kept playing until we could barely see," he said.

The trading of virtual currency in multiplayer games has become so rampant in China that it is increasingly difficult to regulate. The lack of regulation has meant that even prisoners can be exploited for profit in this virtual world.

It is estimated that 80% of all "gold farmers" are in China and with the largest internet population in the world there are thought to be 100,000 people who perform such tasks full time.

In 2009 the central government issued a directive defining how virtual assets may be traded, making it illegal for businesses without licences to trade. However, Liu, who was released from prison before 2009 believes that the practice of prisoners being forced to earn online currency in multiplayer games is still widespread.

Nearly US$2 billion of virtual assets were traded in China in 2008 and the number of gamers who play to earn and trade credits are on the rise, accoding to figures from the China Internet Center.

"I was blowing up like a football," he said. "I had no choice but just to lay there, blowing up like a balloon."

McCormack's workmates heard his screams and ran to him, quickly releasing a safety valve to stop the air flow, said Robbie Petersen, co-owner of the trucking company.

He was rushed to the hospital with terrible swelling and fluid in one lung. Doctors said the air had separated fat from muscle in McCormack's body, but had not entered his bloodstream.

McCormack, 48, said his skin felt "like a pork roast" — crackling on the outside but soft underneath.

But because Mr. Kaufman had installed an app called Hidden on his laptop, he was able to pinpoint his MacBook’s location, send himself screenshots of what its new user was doing and even use the MacBook’s built-in webcam to take and send pictures of the computer’s new possessor.

Mr. Kaufman chronicled his adventure on a Tumblr page called “This Guy Has My MacBook.” On it, he posted regular updates showing how he detected, watched and — with the help of the Oakland police — ultimately arrested the person suspected of have taken the laptop from his home.

Hidden ($15 annually) is a product of Flipcode LTD, which insists that the whole event is genuine and not some viral-marketing ploy. The Associated Press reported that Muthanna Aldebashi was being held by Oakland police on a charge of suspicion of possessing stolen property. The Oakland police used evidence from what had been collected via Hidden to support their investigation.

The product is for iMacs and MacBooks.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Laura Brown said Flight 990 bound for Accra, Ghana, returned to Dulles in Chantilly, Virginia, just after midnight on Sunday after a fist fight in the cabin.

Government officials confirmed that fighter jets were scrambled from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

United spokesman Mike Trevino said on Tuesday that the Boeing 767 dumped fuel as a safety precaution to lighten its weight on landing.

The Washington Post, which first reported the incident, said that the fight began not long after take-off when a passenger reclined his seat and a passenger behind him objected.

The newspaper reported that the offending seat was lowered soon after the overnight flight took off. Sources said that a flight attendant and another passenger tried to separate the fighting pair.

Cockpit audio reveals the passenger who sparked the fight was not "secured" by the crew, but had "settled down" before the flight touched down.

Upon landing, the plane was met by officers from the Dulles police force at the airport. They determined that the incident did not warrant charges.

As no charges were laid, the names of the passengers involved have not been disclosed.

WITH clammy hands and her breath catching in her throat, Emily Day was absolutely terrified.

It wasn't a fear of spiders or flying that had got her in this state.

For Emily, 26, the fear had been brought on by a MAN knocking at the front door.

The recruitment consultant suffers from androphobia - a morbid fear of men.

Emily says: "This fear has stalked me all my life. I can't pinpoint when it started.

"I'm still a virgin. I'm not a lesbian and I'm in no way sexually attracted to women.

"I can look at pictures of men with friends and appreciate they are good-looking, but if I came face-to-face with a man I fancied I'd find it hard to be in the same room without being scared."

This phobia usually surfaces after abuse - but not in Emily's case.

She says: "It's not that a man has ever done anything to harm me. I'm just scared to death of them."

Emily does not fear being attacked - she just has the irrational phobia which has haunted her since childhood.

"I grew up in a women-only household and maybe that contributed to the problem," she says. "Dad split from Mum when I was six and I didn't see him again.

"One of my earliest memories of it was when I was 13. I had to sign for a parcel and a man I didn't know was at the door.

"I got myself into such a state that my sister, Sarah, thought I had a fever and made me lie down.

"When I suffered an attack caused by seeing a bloke, the effects lasted from ten minutes to an hour.

"It started with me feeling flushed. I could feel myself getting hotter and hotter and as I tried to calm down I felt as though I couldn't breathe.

"Then came a gnawing fear of the person I'd been confronted with. It took my breath away.

"I recognise now this is a panic or anxiety attack but back then I didn't have a clue and it really scared me.

"After about six of these attacks I started to realise they happened every time I met a male stranger.

"But I had no idea why and no way of controlling it. I tried to fight it but as soon as I felt the flush there was no way of stopping it."

The problem meant socialising and leaving the house were difficult.

Emily says: "If I wanted to see my friends I'd make sure they came to me so I didn't have to see their dads.

"Although I'd have public attacks, I'd become very skilled at masking it from family and friends.

"When it did happen in public I'd pass it off as me feeling unwell. I wasn't scared of boys at school but the lads my friends were dating were fast becoming men. To me they seemed big, scary, grown-up blokes."

Fortunately for Emily, her fears lessened as she grew older. "I couldn't go on living like this, I had to tell someone," she recalls.

But Emily didn't share her problems until she was 14.

She says: "After bottling it up for ages, I finally had to get it off my chest. Arriving home from school, I told Mum I needed to talk to her."

Mum Susan is now 60 and a former secretary. Emily says: "She said, 'You haven't been yourself. Is it a boy at school?'

"I burst out, 'It's not that I've broken up with my boyfriend. I've never had a boyfriend. I'm really scared of men.'

"She comforted me and said that just because her and Dad's marriage hadn't worked, it didn't mean there wasn't someone out there for me.

"I broke into uncontrollable sobbing and croaked, 'It's nothing to do with Dad. I'm terrified of all men, absolutely petrified.'

"Tears streaking my face, I said, 'I need help, Mum'.

"I could see she was fighting back tears as she told me not to worry and she would get me a doctor's appointment. My GP was one of the few men I could sit opposite without wanting to pass out. This may be because he'd looked after me from a young age.

"Mum came with me into the consulting room and I told the doctor everything. I felt a huge weight lift. Finally, I had broken free of my secret. I discovered I was suffering from androphobia.

"I was elated to have a diagnosis, but devastation followed when I was told it may be hard to cure.

"I was referred to counselling and started seeing a female specialist. I was made to understand it was a psychological problem. I was given mental exercises and breathing programmes which helped me overcome my fear.

"I now work as a recruitment consultant. The apprehension of meeting men is still there and I still get attacks when presented with new male faces to interview but I try to confront it at all times, otherwise it'll get on top of me."

But Emily's love life has suffered hugely from her phobia.

She says: "I have managed to go on a few dates with lads I've got to know gradually but it's always impossible to get past a kiss because the intimacy of touching a man is still too much for me to cope with.

"It seems my fear of men has given way to a fear of intimacy.

"I'm hoping one day I'll meet someone who will work with me to beat the androphobia and I'll eventually be able to marry and have children.

Emily, of Chelmsford, Essex, adds: "I'm going to have to conquer my fear, I know that. If I can't I'll consider artificial insemination to conceive.

"At the moment I'm just happy to be able to have a life and be accepted at work.

"I understand some people will think I'm weird but I live with a very real condition over which I have no control.

"If it wasn't for such amazing family and friends I would not be where I am today."

Ramos Martin then drove away from their home where deputies caught her fleeing the scene in a cream-colored Ford Explorer.

The argument began regarding her boyfriend spending time in the public community restroom around a woman who was nude.

A Springfield couple's fight is taken to new heights after police say a man attacks his girlfriend with a forklift.

Appearing much calmer than police described him on Saturday. 41 year old Brian Hurley from Springfield was arraigned in district court Tuesday morning. Hurley is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after police say he attacked his girlfriend with a forklift.

Police say it all started Saturday morning when his girlfriend started fighting about money when she was dropping him off at his work, New England Warehouse and Packaging on Paridon Street. He got out of his car, reached inside to slap her then started kicking the doors of her car before turning his attention to the forklift.

Police say Hurley jumped into the forklift and then drove it into her car while she was still inside. He then picked the car up and carried it down the road before dropping it to the ground. When police arrived Hurley had already fled the scene. Police later caught up with him at his home where he was arrested. The victim was not injured and claims Hurley was drunk at the time.

Hurley is scheduled to be back in court.
