just another lousy story

hi all,

i broke up with my gf 1 to 1 1/2 years ago from this thread

i have not been able to forget about her and around last year june we started to have regular phone calls to each other. things went up and down but we developed feeling for each other more and more.

it got to a point last week where her father had to come to my city/town to do a surgery and i helped them out by becoming their driver and also arranged the booking of the hotels and doctor.

during her stay in my town, we became bf/gf again and i thought that all the problems that we had would all be worked out slowly. how wrong i was.

when the surgery for her father was finished, they went back to their town. the pessimistic/depression/worrying nature of hers came back and for a few days she kept asking for a breakup. i was devastated.

she was always asking about my past especially how i lost my virginity. yes i know you people may laugh at this but all along even 1 1/2 years ago, she was already saying that she cannot accept it. besides the family problem from the other thread, this was the other reason we broke last time. when she accepted me last week i thought that she finally was able to realize that what happened in the past stays in the past.

she kept digging for details and i answered her which she did not like it. i tried reason with her that she should stop asking as this hurts the relationship. she did not listen but instead kept asking for even more detail which made me feel like a criminal sometimes. why cant she just decide to accept and get over it? or am i asking too much?

she just informed me that she burned/smashed all the things that i returned to her last time. we broke up and now i am posting this lousy life in cc. sorry for the unorganized way of posting.

thanks for reading

help, handphone virus suspected

hi all, this morning i was sending by bluetooth some files to my friend and after she got the intended file all of a sudden her handphone showed a message that she also got another file named sex.jpg. that was not the file i was sending her, i was so embarrassed. i thought that there was someone else using a bluetooth hack or something to give her the unwanted files. i then tried to send another file to test if it will happen again, this time after a different intended file was transferred a notice showing a name (dont want to say the name scared i will be labled racists) propped up on her screen and asking her to accept it. she pressed reject but the message just kept on reappearing even after she pressed reject 5 or more times. in the end she had to take out the battery to reset it. when trying to turn back on the phone it just shut back down on the first attempt. on the second attempt it worked and the bluetooth was turned off manually. it seems that whenever i tried to send something to her another unwanted file just tags along and attacks her phone. i admit i did got some applications from getjar.com before so maybe it was from there . however when i searched my phone memory and the m2 card it does not show anything suspicious and i did not any such unwanted notices on my handphone before.

my phone is se k770 and my friends is nokia3110.

do i need to send the phone back for a full format or just format the card from the phone + master reset will do? what about nokia 3110? is there a reset button also?

please help, thanks

better to rent out legal or near

hi everybody, currently i am deciding for my next residential investment property for rent to tenants but am in a bit of a fix as to which choice is a better one, alot of the figures shown are assumed and that to some the gross percentages may be different from what an investor may want, also the cocr is ignored for the moment...

choice 1

kl area, not my hometown, have to fly over, a bit of hassle
decide to stamp thus declare to tax for ability to sue tenants if anything goes wrong as i am not always there.

apartment price 150k
rental = 1000/month 8%gross
= 12000
maintenance = 125/month = 1500
interest paid to bank = 0 because using flexi and maxed it out

tax declaration = 12000-1500 = 10500 (i know there are other costs that can deduct but lets assume...)
assume tax bracket 24% = pay extra 2520
overall result = 12000-1500-2520 = 7980 cashflow

choice 2

hometown area, can drive over easily
decide not to stamp/declare tax because can fix myself easily if anything goes wrong

apartment price 150k
rental = 790/month 6.32%gross (rental not so good as compared to kl)
= 9480
maintenance = 125/month = 1500
interest paid to bank = 0

tax dont declare
overall result = 9480-1500 = 7980 cashflow

Assuming that the availability of tenants are the same for both cases would you choose to have a legal rental but the location is very far (choice 1) or would you rather have a property that is near (choice 2) but decide not to declare tax for it so that the cashflow could be the same? your comments will be appreciated.

gf broke up...

i had a serious talk with my gf, now ex and she said to me that she feel very pressure because my family 'look down' on her family and also her. she suffers from mild depression and that she could not accept that my family is generally the 'back stabbing' type due to money, the typical tvb series that u see but they are not so dramatic. i told her that my family and i are different and that whatever they did does not represent that i am also like that. i just could not understand or accept that she wanted to be only friends with me because of the pressure that she could not handle, i just feel so frustrated.... we are now friends and that she said that she will still chat with me on the phone everyday because she knows that i feel very hurt. i have asked her is it because of other reasons like she got other bf or the feel is not there anymore, she said no and knowing her character i believe her. we were in a LDR by the way and she is 26 and i am her first bf.

i just want to ask girls out there who are by character is the pessimistic type just like my ex, is it a real problem for you when you know your bf family is the back stabbing type and that you would give up because you could not handle the pressure? i would like to understand more of why my gf did what she did...

sorry for the way that i type is like a mess

Update: 19th april 2009 @ post #42

hi all, its been months since the breakup. she decided to quit her job and go back to hometown during CNY, she also decided to not answer any calls from me when back with her family. in other words i cannot even be a friend. anyway we have not been in contact for 2~3 months and i have already assumed that she has forgotten me although i have not.

yesterday all of a sudden she sent a sms asking me to pay back for the gifts (only worth a few hundred) that she gave me for my birthday and the reason she gave was because she paid me back the money for the gift i gave her (worth few thousand) although i already said in the past no need to pay back as it is a gift. all along i thought that i do not owe anything to her financially wise. she also said that i should not reply her sms. i tried calling her but it was not answered. i paid her back last night through atm and also topped it up a bit more.

this morning i received another sms which contain some hurtful things which i dont want to write down, i then cried.

fellow forumers especially females, i want to ask when you breakup with your bf is it really that important to separate as cleanly as possible the costs or gifts that you gave each other? to me a gift is a gift, i do not want to take it back as i have already given it. i also do not understand why did she not deduct the appropriate amount when she forcefully transferred the money (few k) to me via atm when we separated?

ok i still love her but the fact that she sent sms after some time makes me think that there is a glimmer of hope that she still loves me. however i am hesitant because i cannot differentiate whether she sent the sms is because she wants it to be super clean or its a hint for me. icon_question.gif

constructive response appreciated.

2nd update: 21st april 2009 @ post #74

thanks everyone for the feedback, we sent a few more sms and she really just wanted a super clean break. not only the money back for the gifts, she also wanted me to delete all photos of her which i did not agree. she said that she will not sms or call anymore cry.gif . i know that it does not make much difference as for the past 2~3 months we have already cutoff all communication. like jamma said, when its over its over, i have to move on. i sent her a final message that if she needs help i will be there. i still treat her as a friend even if she does not.

feel like quitting my job but i cant, have to feed my house loans... sad.gif
feel so old as well. i suppose i will have to stay in the single club for a while longer...
