Serving bond vs Payback

I am a scholarship holder who just graduated from private university recently. The bond which I have to serve is 10 years long. My friend advised me to pay back as staying 10 years in the same company will ruin my future and if not, I will still leave the company if there are better working opportunities and getting higher salary in the future. Should I just pay back and proceed to get a new job?
