Do you know when to use the word 'bear' and 'bare'? many people even degree n master also confuse. Seriously seen it in every threads, even in education threads. /k/ tered lagi tak payah cakap. is it so hard meh. for education purposes the correct way:-

BEAR: bear fruits , bear child, bear in mind, bear the stench, bear the noise, bear with me

BARE: bare naked (sorry can only think of this)

Killer gets 5 years jail

SHAH ALAM: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
But that saying cost 32-year-old Tan Ooi Boon his life when he was slashed on the head while trying to help his friend and his family from being attacked by a group of men.

Tan, who worked at a bakery shop, had responded to a call for help from his friend Sim Lian Hoe, whose brother and nephew were attacked by seven men at a guard house of a condominium in Klang two years ago.

He took a golf club and smashed the windscreen of a moving vehicle in an attempt to stop some of the seven men who tried to drive off with Sim's brother.

Although the vehicle stopped, Tan fell and was attacked by four from the group armed with a parang, an iron rod and a wooden stick.

After beating up Tan, the seven men fled the scene.

Tan was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital but he died.

The postmortem report said he died from the slash wound on his head which had penetrated his skull.

Yesterday, one of the seven men, Sridharan Batumalai, was sentenced to five years' jail for causing Tan's death.

Judge Datuk Siti Mariah Ahmad sentenced Sridharan, 30, a security guard supervisor, after he pleaded guilty to culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

He admitted participating in an illegal assembly to commit the offence against Tan at the Regency Condominium guard house, Jalan Pelangi, Off Jalan Batu Tiga Lama in Klang at 11.30pm on March 14, 2008.

In mitigation, Sridharan's counsel Amrit Pal Singh, pleaded for leniency saying that his client was provoked.

He said Sridharan, who was a guard at the condominium, had several misunderstandings with Sim and his family members prior to the incident.

Deputy public prosecutor Ridha Abdah Subri pressed for a deterrent sentence saying that Tan was merely trying to help a friend and that he was not directly involved in the incident.

Siti Mariah ordered Sridharan to begin serving his jail term from the date of his arrest on March 13 last year.

Supplements/protein for runners

hi... can anyone recommend good/appropriate supplements for runners? anyone taking whey protein after running? does it have any effect on your performance or appearance? my mileage is just 30 - 40 km per week and i don't do weight training. should i take protein? if yes which brand is the best? thanks in advance
