Jumping into a different industry?

hey guys a question here.

i couldn't find a job which is related with my degree (which gives a narrow career path), well, dont really have huge interest in it too by now.
so im thinking to change into a new industry, such as marketing or event management. but my degree is irrelevant with those industries.

will it be possible for me to get a good job which is totally a different thing compared with my degree??
anyone here working in job position which is not their expertise??
My ex-boss owe me salary

I had my internship in the company for 2 months, then by the end of it my boss sacked me with lame reasons.
without paying me any allowance (RM500 per month) as we were agreed in the first place.

the working environment there sucks and we had to get scolded by the boss almost everyday.
even my lecturers and staffs in my school said that this boss has attitude and mental problem.
but we managed to overcome the 2 months hell time by letting the boss scolded over and over again everyday (not to mention, eating the boss's dead cat everyday).

now it's been 2 months since the day i got sacked and when the school staff ask our salary from the boss, she said that she have to "think about it".
and the school staff asked us to be prepared for not getting any allowance.

it's RM2k leh dude, for both of us, so what can we do to get the money back?? like i need legal and professional advice from you all
