Phone suggestion

Hi, I own a Nokia 6300 but recently died on me from water damage. I really liked how the phone works and I'd get another one of this, but the drawback for me is it's internal memory which is only 7MB, and available for me to use is only around 2MB.

So far I've seen that 6303 is close to it, with just about 10MB extra memory. Can I get the same firmware as 6300 on 6303? Any better suggestions for phones having the same firmware around a similar price?

Computer not turning on

Hi, I'm using Corsair AX850 with ASUS P8Z68-V PRO. In short, it sometimes doesn't power up when I press the power button. Here are a few other details.

On normal condition when the pc is off, only the power button on the mb will light up, and when the pc is on, another 3 lights will come up- RESET button, EPU and TPU lights if they are turned on. The thing is when I turn my pc on, the three lights will light up but none of my other components are powered up. I then turn the psu off for a few seconds and then on again and it'll sometimes power everything up like normal, if it doesn't then I'd just repeat it. The mb lights were still on when I turned the psu off.

I suspect it's the psu problem, but I haven't tested it yet, just seeing if you know anything about this cos I'm not sure if it might be the mb problem.

Change shortcut targets

I'm reorganising my files folders in my hard disk. Problem is, when I change the location of my files and folders, their existing shortcuts on the desktop and start menu still points to their old location. Is there any way to automatically make those shortcuts point to their new locations?

Motherboard or CPU problem

Hi there. I've just got this rig about 3 months ago, i7-2600k and Asus P8Z68-PRO. It was working fine, with one problem. Occasionally, about as often as once a week, when I'm just browsing through Firefox, the screen turns blank and filled with some colours, like purple. It does not respond at all as if the system crashed, even the music playing in the backgound stops. This forces me to do a hard reset and then everything works fine again.

I do not have a discreet graphic card, I'm using the on board GPU from the processor. Also, in the bios I disabled turbo mode and changed the multiplier from default 34 to 16. I did not change anything else in the bios, not even the voltage.

Just a few hours ago, the same crash happened. But this time, I couldn't boot after that. I press the power button, it either turns on with all the fans running for one second and then shuts itself down, or it stays on but nothing loaded, meaning my screen is blank while the fans just run. Also the CPU_LED in the motherboard is lighted up.

I have tried disconneting all other peripherals and just leave the CPU attached and pressed the power button and the same thing happens. I do not have another CPU to test with.

Please advise me on what to do, and if possible what I did wrong or what the cause of this error is. Thank you.

PSU Corsair or Seasonic?

1. As stated in title. I read that the Corsair 850W AX has the same intenal components as the Seasonic X-850W, wondering why the RM100+ difference.

2. Seasonic X-850W has 8 SATA power connectors, what is the drawback in this instead of having 12? I plan to have 2 1TB hdd.

3. Assume I have i7-2600k with Asus P8P67 pro, WITHOUT a graphic card. What should I expect from movies and games, and online games specifically MapleStory and Aika? Here is a link to the benchmarks from Anandtech- HD Graphics 3000, hope to get a second opinion.

4. I read from a forumer saying how messy cables can get at the top of the CM690, and how the USB ports there are too close. Any feedbacks on this? I plan to get one, so should I go for other casings?

Adapter for external hdd case

Hi, I've got a Vantec NexStar CX 3.5" case, but the DC adapter is spoilt. It's very similar to the one in this link, except the model - mine's PA-226 E while this one's PA-226 A. I can't see any difference though.
PA-226 A
Problem is, I've searched through electrical and electronic shops at pasar road and also in lowyat, but none of them sells this adapter. Any idea where I can get it?

PIC programming with C

Hi there... The PIC I'm using is the 16f84a. I've got 3 doubts here...

1. About input from keypad. I've got the idea already, but what is the statement to see if the input to the PIC is high or low?

2. What's the coding to use a LCD?

3. I'm gonna use 2 PICs... One PIC for the keypad, one more for the LCD. Is it possible to communicate the two PICs? Like, displaying what number i pressed on the keypad...

By the way, I'm now using MPLAB. Thanks in advance...

Q on dual channel ram

Hi, the case is, say I have two 2gb ram working in dual channel. Since there's two more slots left (total 4) and if I decide to add more ram, how must I add them in to also work in dual channel? Like, must the new ram speed match the old one? And the latency too?

Pls recommend RM5.5k gaming

Hi. As the topic states I'm seeking for your help to built a gaming destop budget around 5.5k. I'm really a noob here on hardwares so I'm kinda clueless... Anyway, what I have in mind now is:-

Intel C2Q 9550
Seagate 32M 500G

Motherboard- I don't know anything motherboards, so I'll leave this to you guys.
RAM- DDR2 800 4GB, or DDR2 1066 4GB? Or any other recommendations?
GC- High detail, not so extreme.
Monitor- What's HDCP? Is it important to have this? If it is, then I'll go for Samsung 2233BW 22" wide. Suggestions??
Power supply- I read the pc buying guide. Is 1000W really necessary?? Kinda expensive. I normally see 200W or so...
Casing- Is this important to be discussed? Otherwise I'll just ask from the shop.

Anything else I'm missing? I plan to get this early next year. All in all, I just wanna have fun playing latest games, and I don't want the pc to lag... Thx..
