ST Microelectronics Singapore

I have done my interviewed in ST Microelectronic Singapore just last two week. The interviewer ask me waiting for the result start from this week actually, because they off during Christmas week.

During interview, they more focus on my current job scope but never discuss with me on the exam paper they given. Total interview duration took 2 hours +, of course exclude the exam time because exam need 1 hour time to complete. For the exam, I would say not that difficult, all are basic circuit theory, basic semiconductor knowledge and some term of electronics's vocabulary. While I also forget some of knowledge I been during university time, imagine around 5 years away my university time but lucky most of question still able to recap my knowledge.

While waiting for the result, may I know:

1.Does it easy to get the job in ST Microelectronic Singapore? Since it is face to face interview, some more want me go to Singapore directly from KL without phone interview. I hope able to get the job, otherwise I just assume for the investment of my career.

2.According to interviewer description, Singapore ST Microelectronic are more on wafer level. Hence my job will involve some source like wafer sorting, probe test. Compare to my current job, I involved both wafer level test and packaging test. May I know how does it's working environment there?

3. I have no problem on the level of stressful, in fact I was working in subcon before. It is normal for me go home at midnight. So I assume it just a normal if ST Microelectronic working culture also like that. But through outside review, they claims ST Microelectronic working environment significant relax than my imagination. It is true?

4. I not sure what engineer level they will offer since I have about 5 years semicond experiences, wonder salary range about how much?

5. Other question like living expense, EP, or other stuff in Singapore I put in low priority. Just wait if successful get an offer from ST Microelectronic then only headache on the living expense thing.

Appreciate everyone can help.

I got shortlisted from Western Digital PJ about the Firmware Engineering position. May I know what are the interview questions usually ask, especially how hard disk work, need to draw circuit test or not? I know I going to do C++ programming test but it is difficult?

Secondly, I know this job require a software development and need to work with mainly Advance Read Channel department. Of course cannot avoid testing engineering, yield improvement or customer issue. However, may I know about the travel to USA opportunity? How long need to stay that for short/long term assignment.

Appreciate that your information maybe help me a lot of before I can prepare well for interview in next following weeks.

Gtronic Sdn Bhd (7022)

All, I am looking for some technology share and Gtronic is the one I looking for. Based on the 30 days performance:

The price is now drop to Rm1.13 and it begin to turn. I heard this company share value is RM1.00 and manage to pay at least 10 % of dividend. Since the price is cheaper right now at RM1.13, I am thinking whether is worktable to buy this share. Any advice on Gtronic 7022 ?
