Mu current commitments as below:<br /><br />Personal loan:<br />Monthly payment: RM280<br />Principal: RM12,000 @ 8% for 5 years. <br />Balance: RM8400/2.5 years<br /><br />Credit Cards:<br />Balance: Around RM 11,000<br />Payment made every month: Around RM500<br />However, I used my CC to refuel around RM400-RM450 per month, so basically my CC balance is not reducing. <br /><br />Travelling expenses:<br />Fuel: RM450<br />Tolls: RM200<br /><br />So my total commitment per month is around RM1000 (personal loan + CC + tolls). I have no issue paying up above commitments but i end up with no savings at all at then of the month.<br /><br />My plan is to buy a bike for travel purposes which in my rough calculations will cost me RM450/month (bike loan + fuel). Save RM200<br /><br />And for personal loan and CC, i plan to take RM20k loan @ 5% max for 10 years, with RM250 monthly repayments. Save around RM500 but with longer tenure. CC will only be used for emergencies after that. <br /><br />Im not sure if taking a new personal loan do settle my current loan and CC debt is the best way to reduce my monthly commitments.
