Timing belt, water pump, cooling hoses and battery were all changed within the last 12 months.

Problem with Registering DLL File in Windows 7?

Hi guys,

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate N which does not come with Windows Media Player. Hence, it's missing a dll file called wmasf.dll which some applications require to run. I've tried registering this file using online sources and even a copy of the file from a friend whose Windows has that file by default. However, I always encounter either one of the two errors;

1 .wmasf.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. Make sure that wmasf.dll is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.

2. The module wmasf.dll failed to load. Make sure the binary path is stored at the specific path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.

I tried registering it by using the command regsvr32 wmasf.dll & regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wmasf.dll

Any help is very much appreciated!

Hi guys, my car's got a bit of tiny rust spots here and there.. Typical signs of aging la, not really serious YET... Below is a pic of the most rusted area on the car...

i've never treated rust before so can anyone gimme a clue as to what i should do? i know the easiest thing is to send it to a shop that specializes in bodywork but is there any diy solution considering it is on a small scale for now?

Faulty Odometer

Hi guys,

The odometer on my Satria 1.3 does not move anymore... Before this it was intermittently working, had to reset the trip meter every now and then. Now it just permanently doesn't move. This is the 1st time i'm seeing anything like it.. The rest of the meters/gauges on the meter panel work perfectly fine. What's the likely cause of this and what do you guys think I need to replace or repair? How much should it roughly cost?

Can somebody diagnose my car's problem?

Hi guys,

I drive a 02 Satria 1.3 manual and while driving just now, the engine warning light suddenly appeared and the car started jerking. Tried starting over a few times and the engine warning light remained the same and after a few tries to drive, realized that i could drive the car but the gear ratios were totally out. I had to shift very fast before it started jerking and at 5th gear, any speeds above 60km/h would result in jerking as well so yeah basically it was limited to 60km/h... My initial guess is that it could be something to do with the ECU as this car has a history of having similar problems before where engine warning light comes on n messes up with the way the car drives and got fixed by remapping the ECU, but i think this is the 3rd time already. Is there any other possible cause? Thanks guys...

(WTA) Youtube Application for Nokia

Hi ppl,

recently got a Nokia E72 and the youtube application has been working fine until lately it just doesn't work anymore and keeps giving the error msg: internet connection problem. I let it connect via WLAN only. My question is, what are the possible sources of this error message? Can it be WLAN speed? It did stop working when I stopped using a rather good home WLAN but even with other networks, the other internet apps and browsers still work albeit not as fast while the youtube app doesnt work at all. I've tried reinstalling several times by downloading it from OVI as well as resetting the factory settings but to no avail. Help anyone? thanks...

Ok, I'll be honest from the start, this is for assignment.. Haha... Anyway, the prob is I duno how to use the ASCII codes to display numbers on the LCD panel. It's not as easy as just using 0,1,2,3,4 right? And do we need to provide any ASCII table or reference in the asm code? Thanks!

Object built into window frames of certain cars

Greetings people!

For all the years I've been a huge car enthusiast, ONE part of a car has always baffled me and now I'm trying to find an answer as to what that thing is here. Do you guys notice that on some cars, mostly Japanese makes, have this piece of rubber or plastic jutting out of the window frame? I first noticed this on the Nissan Sentra and as I thought that can't possibly have any use, I start noticing it on other vehicles. My only guess now is that it is added on to improve aerodynamics but I have my doubts as the cars that normally have these are family sedans and such. Does anyone know what they are or what their purpose is? Here are a couple of pictures for clarification.

I wanna ask about the kind of rear sunshades that are like rolled up and fitted behind the rear seats where it can be pulled and hooked to the top the headliner. I know some cars come with these factory fitted but I wanna know if it can be fitted outside. If yes, is it easily found at any accessory shop and what is the price range? Thanks people!
