Sony's MUTEKI 7.2 Review

Pros:
-Good Bass, very accurate 20hz bass response
-Is loud but it doesnt feel punchy.
-Multiple speaker stereo output settings is good, just like CMSS 3D but not as spacy and concert feel, but the bass and clarity still exceed CMSS 3D or z5500.
-Movie definitely sound better than z5500 in both analog and digital

Cons:
-Lack of settings to fine tune sound even more
-Clearer than Logitech z5500 speaker but not as loud
-Hooking with a sound card really is a pain in the ass, analog, digital, 2.1, 7.1, etc settings wont made a differences, the decoder still changes the sound.
-All of the decoder matrix like Prologic 2X are shit, sound shit. How i wish there is CMSS-3D
-Prologic Game Mode Sucks
-Cant used EAX from sound card.
-the 2 subwoofer could be more boomy.

Overall, z5500 speaker is RM1400 and Sony 7.2 is RM 2100. If i am you, z5500 still a better bang for the buck. Dont get me wrong, Sony 7.2 speaker is still good, but with RM 2800, you get a Yamaha 5.1 one.

Z5500 Bass Findings On Different Sampling Rates

The verdit
24/16 Bit 44.1khz Bass Sound Tighter, No Muddy Bass, Rock Music Sound More Natural, Feel Like Concert.
24/16 Bit 96khz Bass Sound Muddy, The Stage feel is gone, Sound is Tighter

I Like 44.1khz more on my z5500. what about you?

Analog Connnection
Azentech Prelude Card
Bass Crossover 120hz
CMSS 3D Surround on at 50%.
100% Bass at Control panel, the rest at 40% in CP.
All EQ and Stuff are off.
Windows Media Player
Music: Veronicas Track 11.
Bass 3 Caps, 80% volume, Center and Surround Full, 6 Channel Output.

Analog vs digital discussion

recently i hooked up my auzentech prelude 7.1 on analog!! i notice some differences on digital with my z5500.

analog have loose bass
digital have tighter bass

analog sounds better and warmer
digital sound rigid

still more test to come.

Gigabyte Motherboard is doom!!

Guys, take a look at all the old and latest Gigabyte motherboard. The PCI-E X 16 slot further down have an heatsink obstacle blocking new cards such as Ge Force GTX 295.

WOW, that manufacturer sure is DOOM. Don't buy that motherboard, is pathetic!!!!!

ITS SUCKS!! Dont ever buy a audio converter that convert Analog audio signals from your Astro decoder to digital because it makes no difference!! Wasted my RM 300.

GUYS, Since i changed my Creative X-FI plantinum to AUZENTECH X-FI Prelude SOUND CARD !! I CANT BELIEVE THIS!! YOU KNOW WHAT FREAKING HAPPEND???????????????

NO MORE BOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOO distortion muddy BASS IN MY Z5500 speaker!!!!
I am talking about the THIGHTNESS OF a bass that most computer speaker subwoofers failed to acheive.

It had prove ONE thing!!!!! Sound card still do decoding disregard of an external SPDIF optical connection to a digital decoder!

for anyone who hate the ANNOYING muddy BASS SOUND in their speakers!!! get it!
