CNN Video Speed Capped - Bloody Streamyx

I just noticed that Streamyx is capping all video streaming from CNN.

Using a proxy, I am able to get 100k per second.
Without a proxy, I get only 10k per second.

Why is Streamyx capping the video streams? To slow down proliferation of global media? To keep Malaysians in the dark? To push more of the local, politically-biased news? What is going on here?

http://www.cnn.com/video

I bet bloody streamyx capped video from CNN but not video from pron sites. Cuz gomen officials all download pron while relaxing behind their desks getting fat off taxpayer's money.

Never Buy Aztech Routers

Never buy the Aztech DSL 605EW wireless modem router. I bought mine from C-Zone.

I had mine replaced 3 times from C-Zone Warranty. Every time I was told I got a new unit. Of course, the C-Zone Warranty guy could be lying and given me a refurbished one.

The 4th time it failed, the warranty was a week overdue. Aztech’s products are all given 1-year warranty only and they tend to fail right after 1-year. I had another older Aztech modem that did that.

The quality of Aztech products are terrible. The reason is most probably because they already have government contracts with TMNet so they mass produce defective and low quality products to widen their profit margin.

Terrible product, terrible brand. Never buy Aztech.

[addedon]June 21, 2008, 7:33 am[/addedon]I replaced the Aztech modem with Linksys, which works well and is a better value. Linksys is a division of Cisco so their products have certain quality standards to meet.

Functionality the same. Wireless Modem Router.
Cost RM 215, just RM 15 more. Stupid Aztech modem was RM 200.

DO NOT BUY from C-ZONE - ST56F Silverstone PSU

I bought the ST56F Silverstone PSU from C-Zone few months ago for RM 370.
It is a 560W power supply.

Used it for less than 5 months. It is very unstable. My computer would intermittenly switch off and on.
On the 5th month, it fails to work.

I brought it back to C-Zone but they refuse to replace it for me. They didn't even bothered to test it and told me to call them 3 to 5 weeks after. I asked if they would call me instead but the person in the warranty shop said no such thing.

There is something wrong with the ST56F from C-Zone. Another friend of mine had the same problem.

Now I have to wait a month without access to my own computer.
Crappy power supply, crappy service.

Bad Experience Purchasing PC From ATE

This is a warning to anyone who is thinking of buying a PC from ATE.

Recently I went there to purchase a complete PC minus the monitor.
The guy there keep recommending that I buy Tagan PSU and Lian-Li casing, saying it is the best and most popular product versus all other kinds.
So I ordered all the components from there with the casing as well as the PSU. The PSU is a Tagan Easycon.

When I came to pick up my goods, I requested to inspect the casing. Outside everything looked normal, but when I checked the insides, it looked as if someone had used it before. The ATE guy said this is brand new casing etc etc. but he cannot explain why there was scratches on the insides. The foam on the inside also looked like someone with long fingernails accidentally grabbed it, leaving fingernail marks on it. That ATE guy by the name Billy was trying very hard to sell to me saying it is brand new and all the bull, but luckily I decided not to buy the casing.
For the PSU, another ATE guy sold me the 430W Tagan, which he said he guarantees me no problems whatsoever. If got problem, he guarantee he will exchange it on the spot. When I brought it home, I found that the Tagan Easycon PSU is too big!! Can't fit into my casing (P180)!! I tried to push it in but it won't budge and I had to pull it out. So I brought it back to change the next day.
When I wanted to change, the guy who guarantee me the unit act like busy with other customer, don't want to deal with me. Then the Billy guy come again. I say I don't want anymore Tagan stuff because they're big and I want to exchange it with something else. He said WAIT, then he check the PSU I brought back. There was a small (1 inch) scratch on the bottom side of the PSU, so he made a big fuss about the scratch saying that he can't sell it anymore because of the scratch and that no customer will buy the unit I brought back to him. I argue with him for a while, then he call his "manager" supposedly. The bloody ATE manager it seems told him that I must pay him back damages of RM 60 in order to change my PSU. I was DAMN MAD!! First they sell me product that doesn't work/doesn't fit into my casing, and then they charge me for small scratch which is not avoidable given that the Tagan doesn't fit inside the casing. Other problems - I suspect the components I bought may be second hand. I am confirming with the manufacturers via the serial numbers to find out about the components I bought. Either way it has been a painful experience dealing with ATE.

On a separate note, I went over to Cycom to buy a new PSU to replace the damn Tagan that doesn't work. There's this guy called himself "Boy" who is very knowledgeable with PSU. He sold me the Silverstone ST56F. I had no more problems, the Silverstone PSU kicks ass!

TMNet - which GENIUS in TmNut made this

Whichever TmNut thought of the genius idea to put all information into the interactive voice response system on the Streamyx customer care center 1300881515 number. The recorded response took almost 2 minutes explaining about how the earthquake is affecting the line (obviously trying to give an excuse, just like when a schoolboy gets caught sleeping in the toilet to skip class and then try to talk his way out of it).
Then when I choose '3' for technical support, they play another 4 minutes of audio explaining that they've completed upgrading their smtp mail security bla bla. and everytime i call this toll-free number, i gotta listen to 6 minutes of crap over and over its like brainwashing! Maybe they figure 90% of people needing support would give up before the 6 minutes is over OR get brainwashed that they themselves are to blame for their own misery.
so which sinister GENIUS in TmNut came up with this piece of crap idea!!?
