Payment to third party for import transaction

I imported goods from a HK-registered company in May 2016, but now come to payment, what if payment is made to a third party local company which will then remit the money on my behalf to the owner of the supplier, not in HK, but Guangzhou. From accounting/taxation perspectives, will there be any problem? Because of the huge amount of money involved, I’m worried about IRB which might in future tax audit find the transaction weird and suspicious.

Any opinion is very much appreciated.

Notebook is getting too hot

Dear sifoos,
My notebook is running real hot recently. I'm using Compaq Presario V3000. Here is the visual info about it.

[attachmentid=2956039]
See that my internal HDD of 60GB runs @61°C while the 500GB external is just 41°C. Why the internal is so hot even during idle?

[attachmentid=2956034]
This is the GPU temp @92°C with zero load on it!!! So I guess it is this heat of GPU got transferred to the HDD which is just sit beneath it. That's why it got 61°C I guess?

[attachmentid=2956052]
Is the CPU temp OK?

How to reduce the temp?
Many thanks in advance for advice.

Head and neck cancer is the sixth most common cancer among men and women, with about 640,000 new cases each year worldwide.

A recent study found the risk of developing oropharyngeal carcinoma was linked to a history of six or more lifetime sexual partners, four or more lifetime oral sex partners, and, for men, an earlier age at first sexual intercourse.

“Sexual transmission of HPV — primarily through orogenital intercourse — might be the reason for the increase in incidence of HPV related oropharyngeal carcinoma,” wrote Mehanna.

The experts pointed to recent studies which showed a 70 per cent increase in the detection of HPV in biopsies taken to diagnose oropharyngeal carcinoma in Stockholm since the 1970s.

HPV-related cancer was also reported in 60 to 80 per cent of recent biopsy samples in studies in the United States, compared with 40 per cent in the previous decade, they wrote.

Mehanna said the findings had other important health implications. Patients with HPV-related head and neck cancers are typically younger and employed, he said, and because their tumours appear to be less deadly than those caused by factors like smoking and drinking, patients may also live longer with the physical and psychological effects of treatment.

“This means they would need prolonged support from health, social, and other services, and may require help in returning to work,” he wrote. — Reuters
The Malaysian Insider

Import Duty & Sales Tax

According to my knowledge, import duty from ASEAN countries is 0% under CEPT scheme for most footwear. But would there be any sales tax imposed for this import? If there is any what is the rate?

I have tried to contact customs department but they could not give me a definite answer before conducting a categorisation analysis on the footwear to determine the HS Code. I don't think I want to go through that process because there are so many types of footwear made of different materials. The cost would be high. And I also need the info urgently.

Is there anyone having experience importing from Thailand, please share.

Thanks a lot.

Bad, Foul and vulgar languege

I maybe new here but would like to highlight some points to webmaster/admin/moderators:
1. There are lots of posts which are full of foul language. This shouldn't be allowed especially in site such big as LYN.
2. This is something like you invite people into your house but they throw all kinds of foul language right inside your living room, in front of you.
3. For example: B**tard, F**k, motherf**k** etc. Don't you think these are very offensive and too rude? Putting astericks would not make them less rude and offensive.
4. I believe there are quite a number of female forumers in here. Don't you think we should be more well behaved and show respect not just them but to all?
5. That's all my 2 cents worth. Hope LYN would take into consideration.
