Guys, sorry for the long-term hiatus due to starting out new career from penang to kl, starting out new family, settle down in KL but i still continue to keep smelling nice; and finally its time for me to continue to actively in my hobby which is collecting perfume hehe. and im now wanting to share my revamp collection in decants abit here for those who would like to try before blind buy or want a travel size atomiser to carry around hehe

2011 VW MK6 Golf GTi

This started 6 months back where VW is doing stock clearance for its Jetta n Passat. i went and fail horrible in their test drive trap, however the horror stories of Jetta and Passat left me on the sideline on getting one.

and the second hand price for 2012/13 for these 2 are very tempting also together with the pug 508 as well.

and since then i found myself really hard to find a car to change given my myvi have pass its 10years lifespan. however i am very stingy when come to car depreciation so im looking for used conti since they are at least 60-70% cheaper than their original cost

so i came across MK6 Golf GTi around 85k which is my budget. i want to know what are the running cost and maintenance for this beauty, also wat are the parts that fail quite commonly and wat to look out for when hunting one
Since this GTi uses 6spd wet clutch DSG and much more reliable.

other than this im also looking at

13/14 ford focus S+
09/10 BMW E90 325i
09/10 MB C200 kompressor
09/10 Honda Accord
09/10 Nissan Teana 2.5

Seek more advise from all the car gurus and owner of Gti are greatly appreciate for your experience

An electrical PVC tape is used to seal the decant vials to prevent any leaks during the course of transit, then will be packed in a padded envelop. All of these processes are done by hand. Newbie - Program to learn as hobby

Hi first of all i am from non it background, just brought a car recently.. need to learn something which is free and will generate u income from it as my hobby in order to cut down extra spending...

Iphone and Andriod apps caught my attention of picking up a programming language to learn, been googling around the much preferred way is start from C++.. i will most likely self study from ebooks and online tutorial....

What are the things that i need to get started... i read that we need a complier and we can write those codes in notepad right?

And i had visual c++ installed on my laptop... is Microsoft Visual C++ is same as C++, if not what is the difference ... can i just use Microsoft Visual C++ alone will do?

Well in the end my hobby is aim to develop apps for mobile phone platform, so right now plan to start out my first small steps in to the sea of programming

Sound System in car

Hi... after working so hard.. finally get to change a car as a reward for all the sacrifice.

I am currently looking for a 'gf' that has a very good stock sound system. i love listen to the music when i am driving coz for me i see driving as a leisure which meant to be enjoyful.

Currently had my eye set on 2 models....

Lexus IS250. had to go look for the recon ge coz new version out of my budget and they put mark levinson as an expensive option.

Audi A4 1.8. just Rm71 extra per month for 7 years to own B&O sound system.. i dun really give a damn on MMI and somemore it is brand new.... no nid worry on the warranty part is just the waiting list get on ur nerves....

So if put this 2 sound system on a comparison, which brand is better? and is there any more option out there?

my budget is 230k max.

Some aftermaket mod to Fortuner

2 days ago, when i was surfing around mudah.com, i saw a 05' 2.7 Fortuner going around 100k. As i was thinking to upgrade my 03' waja to a SUV Wow.. a second hand Xtrail / CRV of the same year is only 20k lesser than this mean toy somemore the colour of the fortuner is BLACK!!!!!!! Consider the depreciation value, i already save around 80k for this baby. Plus i am been searching for a mean ride, looks muscular..intimidating.. and that just left me with Fortuner.

However the true concern of me is to change this FBI vehicle to as comfy as possible. Since it is a glorified Hilux with rear coil suspension, with its height, it is still a very bouncy ride for rear passengers.

What can i do to make it comfort or to the extend that the passenger will bounce only once when going over a high bump as i wont mind higher FC

so i did some market research and got these options

tires- Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza @ Goodyear Fortera Silent Armor @ Michelin LTX @ anything else?

rims- keep it at 15" but will get better alloy 1 and only upsize the tire.

Shock and springs- i have no idea.... can help me on this? i wanna reduce the bounce and more comfort

The ori 2DIN radio will be replaced by JVC AVX800, and the sound system will be changed to JBL Syntesis surround (10speakers)

Change the front grill into the new facelifted grill.. it will make the fortuner even ganas...

The projector headlight will be xenon, red colour TRD stripes..

For the existing fortuner onwers in LYN i hope u all can help me on the mod FBI, dont move....

Hi to all lyn forumers... I am currently under a dillemma on which SUV should I choose as my first car

What is on my mind is that I want is a SUV that look macho, can fit in 7 ppl, worth value for money (in terms of specs and equip list) and good power.

Right now I am considering these 3 models:

2010 kia sorento (4th q 2009)
Mitsubishi Pajero sport
Toyota Fortuner TRD

However my main concern is our diesel quality. Even though Euro2 is coming but I am still not too convinced with it. My friend brought a sorento last year and now his car engine sounds like lorry with the 'tak,tak, tak' sound when he stop his car.
Tat is why I am so worried.

The dilemma I am facing is on the ride comfortability, engine maintainance and power output.
How smooth is the ride? Will rear passenger feel like sitting a sampan so goncang...
