My GC running 3D profile mode all the time. Its mean full voltage and clock even system is idle without any graphical app running. Of course it will effect my electricity bill even tiny, I care about it. This problem only occur on driver 295.73-whql and above. The latest driver till this thread is 296.10-whql still not solve this problem. Only 285.62-whql will solve this prob. But I bet nobody want to use older driver while latest is already publish right?

The normal phase is :-

No 2D app = 50Mhz = I don't remember voltage
2D app = 400Mhz = 0.9++v
3D app = 900Mhz = 1.150v

Also already 'clean' install driver but not solved.

Any idea/advice/solution ?

[SOLVED] Socket PPGA478 and PGA478

I want to upgrade my laptop cpu from T5470 socket PPGA478 to T6670 socket PGA478. Before i buy, i wonder if the socket are matched with my current socket PPGA478. Looks very similar socket type but afraid not match.

Already googling but cant find the answer.
