Finding reliable brand of SATA-IDE converter

Hi, i want to install SATA dvd burner to my old pc.
Is it the good idea using IDE-SATA converter? Is speed and connection reliable?

Who's have experience before.
Yesterday, i went to "All******market". The staff said the converter is not reliable and cannot support dvd burner.
Any idea?

Computer cannot bootup

My relative pc has problem. It unable bootup to BIOS, it is absolutely black screen.

I already change the Power Supplier, RAM and Graphic card from other pc. It is seem like not working.
It is one symptom, If Power Supplier pc main connector connect to pc then it fan still running but only monitor without any display.
If Power Supplier ATX12V 4-pin power connector connect to pc then fan is running few second will automatically stop.

who's has any idea about it? please assist me...

who has any experience which type of notebook brand is reliable and well service. Of course, reasonable price?
if you has model then is the best.

who's have experience before?
we i plug in the external harddisk, it is can detect the new hardware and show this device is working properly but it storing drive is not display on my computer.
who's know how to repair it?

Is it really have any shop can replace your notebook battery cells?
My battery is broken down already, i don't is value to bought a new battery. (Twinhead battery cost RM500)
I hear it is much more cheaper, who any info about it? can u shared it out to us? thank.
