Sliding windows kitchen pass through

Hi lowyat.net,
Just wondering if anyone here knows anyone who can do this :
Sliding window ( preferably wood or aluminium ) for a hole in the wall where the kitchen counter ( pass through ) is.
Important thing is we do not want a track at the bottom of the sliding door ( i.e. on the counter surface ).
Have seen doors which are hanging like this but not windows.

I remember this instrumental song accompanying an astro ad ( I don't even remember which ad ).
There is one part of the song where the melody 'ascends' like
du du du du du ( each time a note higher ) du ( one note down ) du du du du ( each time a note higher again ).
Can anyone halp me identify the tune.

Android phone with good touch screen precision

Hi all,

Was thinking of getting the HTC Desire. But from what I've seen on youtube, the touch screen precision does not seem that good ( don't know if it is only multi-touch ) .

I am just wondering whether it is just because the touch screen precision on the iphone is so much better, and HTC Desire is the next best.

I know the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S has much better precision as well, but it is not within my consideration at the moment.

So does anyone know a good android phone with good touch screen precision, with specs similar to the Desire.

Ruptured tendon

I have a ruptured tendon in my finger from basketball.
Specialist recommended surgery.

I did some research on the internet and saw that it can be sometimes solved using an external splint keeping the finger completely immobilized for 6-8 weeks.
Can a ruptured ( meaning break ? ) tendon actually heal itself without surgery ?

I am just wondering whether surgery is really needed in this case.

Hi all,

- PC was working for about 1.5 years prior
now
- Unable to power up PC A
- MOBO of PC A light still on when power supply connected
- Connected power switch of PC A to PC B, turning on power switch of PC A will start up PC B.

What do you guys think could be the problem ?
PSU or MOBO ?

Hi all,

Could someone recommend a me a good ENT ( Any other kind of specialist too if applicable ) specialist for vertigo symptoms ( neighbouring country acceptable ).
I have already seen 3 ENT specialists, done a MRI , full blood test, but no sign of a cause or cure.
I have taken the standard medication ( betaserc, stugeron, cephadol, selanid , etc... ) but did not seem to help.

I have read that it may also be caused by pinched nerves, blood clots, etc.. ( What specialists do i have to see for those ? )
I have also seen a chiropractor in hope to fix the pinched nerves part.

The problem is not so much the vertigo attacks ( which happen about twice a year, but the constant discomfort in between ( dizziness / feeling like an attack is about to happen , etc.. ))

Yes i have googled.

Output left audio channel to both speakers

For a pc,
Anyone knows how to output just the left audio channel of an mpg for example to both speakers
( like if you want to hear just the music for a karaoke vcd on both speakers )
instead of just changing the balance in the mixer and hearing the output on one speaker.

C++ Questions

Hi all,

I have a question on structs in C++.
Let's say i have something like this

struct a{
int nNumber;
char szATest;
}

struct b{
a* aSet;
char * szTest;
}

What i intended to do was, have structure B contain a dynamic array of strcture A ( Is that possible? )
szTest is also a dynamic sized string.

Coz i encounter this :

(Simple example - not the exact code)

b * theB;

b = (b*) malloc( sizeof(b) * 1 );

b->szTest = (char*) malloc(sizeof(char)*8));
strcpy(b->szTest, "TESTEST");
b->aSet = (a*)malloc(sizeof(a)*2);

It seems that when i malloc the a struct within the b, it seems to overwrite some of the memory of szTest ( szTest comes out with some garbage at the end, only after mallocing aSet )

Any ideas ?
