Philippines – The Garden of Samal Island

Philippines is blessed to have wonderful beaches because of the numerous islands that surround the country. Even if you go in Luzon, you will have to see the beaches in Mindoro, Palawan and Visayas they have the beautiful beaches of Boracay Island, Bohol and Cebu while in Mindanao, one of the beautiful beaches are can be seen in Samal Island.

Everytime I get so stressed from work, I go to Samal Island and experience the beauty and adventure of the nature again. Many tourists visit on this island because of the beautiful white beaches and also to experience the lovely falls and caves in this island. Samal Island is located in the Southern part island of Philippines. It is just thirty (30) minutes to one hour from Davao City. Aside that Samal Island is famous for their beaches, they are also known for their beautiful falls and springs.

Island City Express Bus
The island can offer you the best scuba diving and snorkeling. Scuba Diving or snorkeling in the tempting deep blue sea of Samal Island is one of their main activities in the island because of their unspoiled dive spots and attracts many tourist from different places in Philippines. Next activity could be mountain biking or cycling since the terrain of the island is unusual and perfect that one must try. Samal Island has seventy identified natural covers that attract numerous spelunkers. Some of the nature enthusiasts engage into spelunking to test their endurance as they engage various types of cave sizes. During summer break, you can see some extreme sports lovers flock to the island to experience rappelling. The site can be found in Beto Depression in one of the barangays of Samal Island.

After rappelling, you can take a rest in Hagimit Falls and enjoy the waterfalls. When you reached the gate, there will be an entrance fee and from the gate you will need to walk to the compound of Hagimit Falls, though the roads going to the falls is tough but when you reach and feel the cold water, you will feel that it is worthy and satisfying. The falls is located in the middle of the forest and still unspoil.

There will be an entrance fee and from the gate you will need to walk to the compound of Hagimit Falls, though the roads going to the falls is tough but when you reach and feel the cold water, you will feel that it is worthy and satisfying.

The island does not only offer adventures but also they offer the best accommodation maximizing the beauty of their nature. If you want to experience a very relaxing vacation, you should check the Pearl Farm Resort. Pearl Farm Resort has become a tourist attraction for foreigners and local tourist because of their unique style. Pearl Farm Resort has “Balay “rooms that are set back from the shore above the resort above with a spectacular view of the bay and the garden and the room is made of bamboo and can cost you more or less $150.
