The netbook brand is Idola. I'm trying to boot from USB to format and reinstall windows, but no matter what, the boot manager just would not detect my pen drive.
I tried the same USB drive on another computer and it booted fine.
Any idea how to get into BIOS for this netbook to set the boot priority, and to get it to boot the windows installation from pen drive?

Hi all,
Any recommendation of good USB sound card like pendrive? I know there are plenty out there, but if possible want to hear some experience from internet people before I go find in Shopee.
Not asking for a high end sound card, as long as it is comparable to the on-board sound card is good enough. Reason for getting this is because broken headphone jack on laptop.

Mobo Front Speaker

Hi all,
Took out my PC for cleaning today, and in the process took out a few cable. But after assembling everything, I notice the mobo speaker which usually beep during power on is not working. Mobo is Gigabyte B85M.
How to get the mobo speaker to work again? Thank you..

Hi all, are there ways to get direct streaming links for stations like BFM, LiteFm, etc that uses token link?
Even TuneIn app on Android and iOS doesn't work for those stations, and keep playing the loop asking to install official app. Reason is that I prefer to create my own playlist and play directly from media player on PC rather than using browser.

Hope this is the right place to post. Are there any ways to get stream for online radio that uses token? I've been trying to get url for OneFm, Bfm etc, but they seem to have token on the URL. I do not know how long the token will last, but so far more than half day the link still can play.
Any guidance/sharing is greatly appreciated.

Hi all, seeking for your opinion or review on these few monitors for home use. If anyone experienced one of this monitors, I would love to hear from you. Should I go for LCD or LED?

This one, on the Acer website it mention it is VGA cable, not HDMI. However in this Lazada page it state as HDMI. If it is HDMI then I might consider.

Hi all,
Is it possible to setup printer sharing through this modem? There is 1 USB port, but I don't see any print server capability. I would like to use the USB port for printer sharing so that one of the PC doesn't always have to be on in order to print.

For you guys using this modem, which version are you on? My status page shows v3, but D-Link website only have v1.

Hi all, would like to know how to find the correct Gigabyte mobo rev? Currently using the Gigabyte Ga-B85M-D3H. It has a few rev, 1.0/1.1, 1.2, 2.0 and 2.1. I don't want to have to take out the mobo if possible. Thank you.

Laptop hardware maintenance

I am planning to do some cleaning for Inspiron N411Z laptop since I am replacing the wifi card due to breakdown.
Apart from the fan cleaning, should I replace/reapply thermal paste as well? First time service after 3 years.

Hey all, want to know which broadband is suitable to be use in condo? Ask maxis before but they said level 5 and above not suitable for wireless broadband. Right now, fix line internet is not an option. Area nearby Downtown Condominium.

Front audiojack not working

Hi all, how to make the front audiojack work? Whenever I plug in my headphone in the front jack, nothing happen and the sound just continue to play through the speaker. However, using the rear jack work as usual.
Specs:
Gigabyte B85M-D3H, TrenSonic PSU 450w +Trensonic casing, CPU: I5-4430, on board graphic.
Another thing, is the PSU actually sufficient for this system? do I need a bigger capacity PSU?

so now streamyx does not give out public IP and uses private IP. I plan to setup CCTV for my home. Any solution to get port forwarding and DDNS working again? Router always show 10.7 and 10.6x IP, but when checking my ip it's 210.xx.

Hi, just use my Seagate expansion external hard drive for 1 year +, and finally it decided to fail today with cracking sounds and not being detected when pluck into computer. I heard data recovery is possible. Anyone knows any place with reasonable price for recovery? It's a 500GB drive.
